Yet another thing Fetterman can use to paint his opponent as an out-of-touch elitist.

You can tell which of the memes are coming from the staff, but there's some proof here that some of these memes are from Fetterman himself.

Definitely less cringe than Oz but you can definitely catch the "fellow kids" vibe from this one.

Glad I'm not the only one who found it incredibly egregious.

As a general rule, the carpetbagger line of attack isn’t really the "gotcha" or game changer people think it is. It obviously doesn’t help, but the residency issue alone can’t really sink a candidate unless there is already a host of other issues making said candidate particularly vulnerable. Case in point: Evan Bayh 2016 (textbook case of a lobbyist gone Washington), Matt Rosendale 2018 (literal insurance commissioner with a career in real estate and land management who fell into the public lands & health care trap which has been part of the MDP playbook for decades), Sara Gideon 2020 (a perfectly scripted, predictable, and transparently disingenuous career politician whose vulnerabilities already made it a lot easier to paint her as 'inauthentic'). This line of attack mostly intends to reinforce/solidify the already existing impression that a candidate may be out of touch, something that Dr. Oz would convey even if he were from Pittsburgh, PA.

What makes Oz different from Masters and Walker is that you wouldn’t trust him even if his ads told you that Harrisburg was the capital of PA. When Mitt Romney looks relatable next to you, something has gone very wrong.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but there's a clear divide between Oz's primary attack ad and Fetterman's primary attack ad.

Oz's (the notorious "1/3" ad) is your boilerplate scary music, blue-filtered, "John Fetterman wants to [insert negative here].

Fetterman's is him in a hoodie, just talking like a normal guy.  "My opponent [blah blah] New Jersey.  Really? Is that what we want representing our state?" I'll also note that I don't think I've seen a single Oz ad where he speaks directly to the voters.

Fetterman has a unique gift to turn any Oz misstep- or even normal action- into an attack that resonates with voters. Like when Oz wore pants and Fetterman did the 'Zenga Fabrics' thing.

This is also solidified by the use of Oz's TV show quack medicine schemes as well. Another one of Fetterman's hits recently is how Oz tried to sell the public on all of these "magic pill" schemes from his show, so he's someone you clearly can't trust.

"If you tell a lie a thousand times, it becomes the truth" only works if you have control of the narrative swing voters are hearing.
Oz clearly doesn't have that.

Oz's team must be scrambling for a new desperate attack other than "Fetterman is missing."

As you saw from the 90 days one Oz is just ignoring the facts regardless of all evidence on the contrary.

Oz's team must be scrambling for a new desperate attack other than "Fetterman is missing."

From what I've seen I am 90% sure it will be "coastal elitist Fetterman lived off his parents' money while he was mayor." This seems moronic to me, because it just gives him an opening to talk about Braddock more, which is a pretty compelling part of his story, and I don't really think there's a viable way to define Fetterman as the out of touch wealthy elite between the two of them at this point. The real example of political malpractice though was the stupid basement Fetterman attack, which A. probably didn't work, B. to the extent that it did was always on a timer unless Fetterman keeled over and died, and C. is basically exploiting your opponent's ill health which could have easily backfired.

If I were Oz's campaign manager, I'd tell him to cut it out with the stupid crap and just run a simple campaign focusing on tying Fetterman to Biden and national Democrats and positioning yourself as a reasonable Republican who will bring balance back to Washington. In this cycle, a generic R is favored Pennsylvania; just be as close to generic R as possible. It is that simple.

Fetterman isn't winning by 20 he will win by 6.5 and Casey will win by 6.5 but it's won't be that close

We would have lost if McCormick was nominated he was averaging plus 5 over Fetterman

Oz is now demanding Fetterman do *five* debates. You can always tell who is losing when they're doing this.

Wild fact I just learned: if Fetterman wins, it'll only be the third time since the birth of the Republican Party that PA has been represented by two Democrats. There was one short stretch from 1945-1947 and an even shorter stretch when Arlen Specter switched parties, and that's it. Potential history in the making here!
