Basically the title. From the start of 2019 to election day, what were the funniest moments of the 2020 election cycle to you?

For me, I would have to choose....(no particular order)

-Chris Mathews Meltdown after Bernie won Nevada
-Trump supporters stranded in the cold multiple times
-The whole Charlamage Biden interview
-The corn pop story
-Yesterday's four seasons incident

And definitely many others....

Nothing will ever top Beto O’Rourke randomly speaking Spanish at the first Democratic debate.

- Williamson at the first Democratic debate.
- Trump telling Biden he was still on two at the first Presidential Debate.
- About 10:00pm on election night when democrats started panicking.
- Beto speaking Spanish.
- Trump dancing at his rallies
- TYT loosing their **** on election night.
- Jemele Hill blaming whites if Trump was re-elected even though thats the only group he did worse with.
- The polls being wrong again.

Maybe I'm suffering from memory loss, but this Four Seasons Fiasco has to be one of the greatest. The fact that they apparently genuinely try to get the Four Seasons hotel booked, screwed up such a simple task, and then decided to run with it and held a nationally televised press conference in some random Landscaping Company parking lot between a crematorium and adult sex shop. If it's were on a TV show The Writers would be rightfully criticized for having jumped the shark.

And this, lest we forget ladies and gentlemen, was organized by the staff of the president of the United States of America.

What's been happening in the Trump campaign and Trump's reactions after the election are a comedy goldmine. I'm eagerly waiting for the next act of humiliation and sore loss.

I support Biden but sometimes he just says weird stuff:

- Corn Pop
- “I’m running for the U.S. Senate”
- Obiden-Bama Democrat
- “Listen, fat”
- Four more years of George
- “My sister, I mean my wife”
- All men are created equal, you know, the thing.

And many other examples as well.

Mayor Pete and Amy's feud.

Corn pop being real.

Trump leaving his supporters stranded in the cold twice.

Four Seasons.

Bloomberg winning American Samoa.

Trump and everyone around him getting the coronavirus. I tried not to be inconsiderate about it when it happened, but now that everyone ended up being okay, I'm going to revel in the obvious comedy of it.

That feels like it happened a lifetime ago.

Though it may end up being a symbol of Biden's lack of Hispanic appeal, the Despacito moment is just so weird that I can't help but laugh whenever I see it. I'm aware Luis Fonsi had just introduced him, but that doesn't lessen the weirdness one bit.

Honorable mention to yesterdays Four Seasons mixup but mainly because it gave us "ALL THE NETWORKS!!!"

Bringing up the first Democratic debate without "you're so on, girlfriend" is automatically wrong.

I'll add "I WON THE ELECTION, BY A LOT." half an hour before the networks called it.

Four Seasons is obviously on my list, as is Marianne Williamson at the first debate.

Also, "That was a hot mess, inside a dumpster fire, inside a train wreck." - Jake Tapper

I agree with some of those already mentioned like corn pop being real and the Amy/Pete drama, but also this:

- That time Julian Castro tried to differentiate himself from the rest by staking out ground on "trans womens' abortions"

- The New York Times' endorsement hype videos eventually leading to Klobuchar/Warren

- The paid Bloomberg staffers campaigning against Bloomberg

- The Bloomberg tiktok memes and the unironic use of the "I'm not asking" Sanders meme in a scaremongering ad

- Bleach injection

- The first general election debate (top-notch grim comedy)

To his credit, he corrected himself later on and clarified that he meant trans men.

This election didn't feel very funny, at least not compared to 2016

Two words.
The Fly.

In a horrible year, this fly was one of the funniest moments of this election cycle.

Not sure if anything in politics can ever top the Four Seasons thing, I mean that is something a TV show couldn't script.

Honestly, the sheer size of the Democratic primary field and the fact that it included so many people who had absolutely zero shot.

7/16 - Kanye West missed ballot access deadline in Michigan.
8/3 - Kanye West missed ballot access deadline in Pennsylvania.
8/14 - Kanye West missed ballot access deadline in Georgia.
9/3 - A Maricopa County judge rejected Kanye West's attempt to be on the ballot in Arizona.
9/11 - A Brown County judge rejected Kanye West's attempt to be on the ballot in Wisconsin.

Think about an alternate reality where Kanye received ballot access in all of these states.
He could have cost Biden the presidency and been FOREVER labeled a spoiler.

Also, it's possible Biden could have still won but with fewer electoral votes than he will receive without Kanye being on the ballot in key swing states. So in this scenario Kanye votes allowed Trump to win one or more of these.

The funny part is that none of this happened thanks to a haphazard 'campaign' and intelligent judges who saw this for what it was....an attempt to spoil the 2020 presidential election.
