D panic mode

Big ouch on that generic ballot. Republicans haven't won the House popular vote by more than 7 points since 1928.

Moreover, Biden is more hated now than Trump was right before the election. Obvs, he still has a lot of time to recover.

Ford as well, although still better than Carter and Bush Sr.

This is what happens when the media decides who is the most "electable". They knew Biden would be a pathetic President.

How's not being Bernie Sanders working out for your approval rating, Joe?

Obama’s approvals in jan 2010 were much much higher than Biden’s right now.

And 2010 was still a shellacking

Trump’s were worse, but he had not yet established the cult. He did so in the lead up to the midterms and saved the Republicans from losing a bunch of senate seats. It remains to be seen whether Biden can consolidate the base. Biden was elected as a broadly palatable figure with not a ton of enthusiasm, and now he’s a broadly unpopular figure with not a ton of enthusiasm. The GCB could be a higher margin than either 2010/2014 if he doesn’t rally the base. For once maybe shifting left might help Biden. Independents seems pretty lost, why not make himself more popular among progressives and young people?

Interesting strategy, and I was thinking the same thing. Biden is in bad shape now, but if progressives tune out then the bottom will really fall out for Dems in 22/24. Given that he is already doing badly with independents/moderates and shows little ability to make up the ground he lost in the late summer, a pivot to the left to shore up the Dem base and prevent an absolute drubbing for his party sounds like a smart move.

You really think he's gonna be at 40 percent all the way till 24 like Trump and Trump had 9 percent and unemployment is at 3 percent lol that's an R pipe dreame

Normally I would expect an incumbent president's numbers to rebound once he hits the campaign trail, but Biden has remarkably little talent to actually make people like him. He won the first time by basically disappearing and just existing as the alternative to Trump. I could see him rebounding somewhat, but it is difficult for me to see a scenario where he gets back to 50% approval.

Biden has no idea how to campaign and Trump has no idea how to not campaign. It's quite a contrast.

Again, the fact I can tell what the polls are going to show based on who is posting it is truly hilarious.

Roll Eyes As your bs directed at me, I post only polls that either so called gold standard (from CNN and Marquette to Fox and Gallup) polls or has at least (A)-rating, regardless the results. Moreover, I frequently reference 538 & RCP poll average.
Why would you assume I was referring to you? You have no reason to believe you are guilty of this…unless you are.

L - Logic. You caught me, sir. Yawn.

Jesus Christ
Yeah more proof that Biden’s low approval is due to the media

Well, he wouldn't be having polls of his approval as President being conducted if it wasn't for the media. I'll give you that.

New York, (A)-rated Siena College

Biden's Job Approval:
36 (-3 since Jan)
63 (+3)

Biden's favorability:
48 (-4)
48 (+6)

Quote
President Joe Biden’s ratings fell to their lowest levels since taking office. His favorability rating is 48-48%, down from 52-42% last month, and 65-29% in February 2021. His job performance rating is negative 36-63%, down from 39-60 percent last month, and 55-37% in February 2021.

In other news, New Yourkers are huuuuge pro-maskers LMAO.

Holy sh**t, those are some terrible approval ratings considering that it's NY.

Well, these 63% negative include 25% fair (Siena has always had strange options), so it's:

Biden's Job Approval:

Excellent 11 (nc since Jan)
Good 25 (-3)
Fair 25 (-1)
Poor 38 (+4)

OK, I guess a little different than a normal approval poll. Biden's in bad shape, but not quite net -27 in NY bad.

Probably a big reason why Biden's approvals are so low.

Progressives hate him, but they sure as hell aren't voting Republican.

Epic fail to have an approval rating below 50% among people under 35 WHO WANT DEMOCRATS TO CONTROL CONGRESS.

CNN Poll: 75% of Democratic voters want someone other than Biden in 2024

A new CNN poll finds 75% of Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters want the party to nominate someone other than President Joe Biden in the 2024 election, a sharp increase from earlier this year.

https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/26/politics/cnn-poll-biden-2024/index.html

Horrible for a sitting prez. Did Clinton, W Bush, Obama and Trump also have numbers like this in the midterm years?

Tbh, if I were Biden, I'd probably consider not running again. Unlikely he'll have congress in a 2nd term, so all he can do is govern via executive actions which would be pretty much gone on January 21, 2029.

Yeah, it might make sense for him to not run again. However every President to not run again or not be renominated after no more than 4 years as President happened to be 8 of the 11 elections from 1844 to 1884.

James Carville and Carol Moseley Braun already sent me emails endorsing Tim Ryan for Senate and confirmed Biden is in it on 24 we have a 303map in 24 and in PA and WI we have Baldwin and Casey incumbentts instead of R incumbentts we're gonna win the 303 map

Nothing says political winner like mentioning Carol Moseley Braun.
