I'm guessing Biden will have a slightly higher approval rating than Donald Trump, but his ratings seem to be rapidly falling as of now. The honeymoon advantage will probably be negligable when he enters office.

Two points is statistical noise, lmao. I think he will be at around 60-65% for the first month and then remain around 50% for several months. I have a feeling his approval rating will be very stable for the whole term anywhere between 45% and 52%.

Wow, Uncle Joe at 98% approval with Democrats? If that's true, this is higher than Trump among Republicans. Democrats are a Biden cult now, too Wink

https://www.politico.com/states/florida/story/2021/03/16/new-poll-shows-cuban-american-voters-align-with-gop-1368365

Biden favourability rating among Cuban Americans
45% favourable
51% unfavourable

- Trump has a 62% favourability rating, same as the share of the vote he got in 2020
- Hardline attitudes against Cuba are back according to this poll

Trump and the Florida GOP scared the North Korea* out of Cuban-Americans with  accusations that Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Congressional Democrats would go light on Raul Castro and Nicolas Maduro. That message may have stuck. Rapacious hypocrite that Donald Trump is, he'd probably love to set up a Trump resort in Havana with gambling casinos run by his Russian buddies if he got the opportunity.

*That is a sort of Hell, is it not?

I assume it's more than (ridiculous) fear of "socialism". Most Cuban Americans are socially very conservative and oppose illegal immigration. Of course Democrats don't support the latter, but the right-wing propaganda machine was pretty successful in painting this picture. This plus insufficient outreach from Democrats during the 2020 campaign allowed Trump to win the state by nearly four points.

Long term, I think Democrats are better advised to focus in strong African American and other Latino turnout and keeping/gaining in the suburbs. If that ends up being successful, Florida is no longer needed to win presidential elections. Georgia and Arizona are already more friendly and Texas will be in the long run.

He's about equal with Trump among the own party, but much higher support from independents and also from the opposition Trump never had double digit approvals among Democrats as far as I remember. Not even close.

So he’s still probably moderately popular rather than controversial or very popular.

Biden is the exact opposite of Trump. Trump was moderately unpopular, but his approval was never in the ditch like Nixon or George W. Bush in his second term.

Yes, given how polarized the country is and that Joe Biden as a straight white guy doesn't inflame so much passion/hate against him like Obama did or Hillary would have, it's reasonable to assume his approval ratings will remain pretty stable throughout his term, mainly between high 40s and mid 50s. That should put him on a good track for winning reelection. Of course unless a major crisis emerges that he bungles.

Lmao Florida. I actually want Florida and Texas to switch positions in the states coalition for both parties. The Republicans can have Florida if Texas becomes a serious battleground.

Approve 52
Disapprove 42

Strongly approve 34
Strongly disapprove 35

A surprisingly great poll for Biden and very bad the GOP.

The results of this polls is basically saying that the only reason Biden is not higher is because a lot of people still think the economy sucks right now. This poll is showing that just 42% of Americans rate the economy positively, and 58% percent say it's not-so-good or in poor shape.

If Biden is getting 52 with those kinds of numbers on the economy than the GOP is going to be in big trouble once everything is reopened and the economy is roaring back with the kind of economic growth we have not seen in decades. At this point the GOP better hope and pray that the projections of insane growth in 2022 is way off lol

I actually thought this poll is medicore for Joe Biden, but I absolutely agree with this conclusion. If the economy comes back strongly in a few months, he should stay way above 50% for a longer period of time.

pbower2A always makes maps like these just like the media to keep voters interested, if it's the same old 306 FREIWAL it would be a boring Election but it will be a Resurrection of the 306 FREIWAL

Under the new map, it's 303 FREIWAL Tongue

Biden has the Exact same Approvals on Election night a 51/49 Election is exactly how the Senate gonna play out but the H is solely dependant on Redistricting but Sabato is giving a negative input in the Ds chances

We can very well have a split Election RH and DS and the South going R and D's winning the Rust belt Govs

Rs have won 16/20 Elections and D's lost the H last time after 4 yrs, from 2007/2011

Biden or Harris can still win Reelection without the H like Obama did, since it takes 278 EC votes to win and D's don't need a single S state to win including Ga

Any so early polls are meaningless for election so far down the road.

I don't know how this breaks down among different groups of Hispanic voters... but I would expect Cuban-Americans to start getting cold feet about the insurrectionists.

I honestly think the gains are mainly among Mexican-Americans. If anything, Biden turned out to be more liberal and left leaning than expected during the 2020 campaign. If Cubans didn't vote for him running as a moderate because of "muh socialism", they surely won't approve him now. Not to mention the president's efforts to normalize relations with the Cuban government again.

Biden underwater in New Hampshire

Among New Hampshire voters, 52% now say they have an unfavorable opinion of President Biden, with 47% saying they have a favorable opinion.

https://jbartlett.org/2021/06/n-h-voters-lost-trust-in-media-helping-drive-biden-favorability-below-50/

I hardly believe he lost that much ground in a state won by seven. This would make sense if his national approval ratings were in low or mid 40s at best.

President Biden's approval is shaping up to be even more stable than Trump's (dis)approval.

We have to see as it's still very early in his presidency. However, I believe it will remain relatively stable for a full four or even eight years, somewhere between 47% and 57%.

I'm not sure anything since around March 15th in polling is more than statistical noise. Biden moves from like +7 to +14.

Yeah, it's also unlikely he has lost much support since the first months were objectively going pretty well. Especially if the two infrastructure bills finally get passed.
