Eh, we probably seen this coming but as an Ohioan it's still sad to see. Now our peers Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania are the great bellwethers.

WI, MI, and PA (especially in WI and PA) are only bellwethers in the sense that they're Electoral College bellwethers. The popular vote bellwethers, averaged over the past two elections, are probably NV and MN at this point.

NM is the greatest popular vote bellwether. It’s voted for the winner of the popular vote in every election since 1980.

Unless you’re talking about how close the margin is to the national margin.

Jokes aside, it is actually refreshing to have an election where Ohio and Florida haven't been the be all end all. Both voted for the loser this time.
