The writers came up with a great twist in having the Republicans lose the Senate because Trump had to be a whiny b!tch for two months but they refused to support him on the one thing he wanted that was popular. Also bringing back Ossoff, a forgotten character from the first act and making him one of the big heroes at the end was an interesting touch.

Very Game of Thrones.

Haha, no. Way better written and played out than the epic dumpster fire pile of trash that was the Game of Thrones ending.

I won’t celebrate until Cherokee and Forsyth are in.

based on what im seeing so far im so not sure that even Cherokee be enough to save they GOP if they keep underperforming everwhere else

Something which must be kept in mind is that Biden's victory was not only due to his running up the numbers in Fulton, Clayton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, etc. but also because he cut into the Republican margins in Fayette, Cherokee, and Forsyth. Perdue and Loeffler seem to be on track to do about the same, and perhaps even worse, than Trump in those counties, so this will be of little comfort to them.

I think that gets over looked. Those slight trends in larger Republican counties were critical.

Trump cleared 70% in Cherokee in November... Loeffler/Perdue not matching that...

He did not - Trump got 68.8% in Cherokee. But Loeffler is at 67.7% and Perdue is at 68.3%, in both cases of course with all of the non-R vote going D (whereas Jorgensen got 1.7% there at the GE).

Cherokee County just moved up to 87% complete. Loeffler and Perdue are pulling Trump like numbers there and that country trended against him.

Trump won Cherokee 68.8-29.5

Loeffler 67.7-32.3

Trump +39.3 to Loeffler +35.4

In the biggest GOP red county...

If Warnock and Ossoff actually win, all Democrats and leaners should get a D-GA avatar for a week.

I'd pretty much forgotten what a clear victory feels like. Don't get me wrong, 2018 was great, but there were the letdowns in Florida and Georgia. And we all know the long tale of 2020. But if things keep heading where they seem to be, no one will be able to say team D lost anything here, and that feels fantastic.

Potential senators Warnock and Ossoff would be the best senate delegation of any state, hands down.

From the NYT:

Quote
The race now leans toward the Democrats. There's a long way to go and it's close, but thus far the Democrats have done better than they need, even if narrowly, across all vote methods and in all regions. The Republicans will need to do better in what's remaining than we would expect based on how well they've done so far, particularly in the Atlanta area, where virtually no election day votes have been counted.

Gabe Sterling (state voting manager, a Republican) is being interviewed on CNN right now and said that if the Republicans lose, they can blame the defeat on Donald Trump.

Stacy Abrams should be incited to the inauguration and awarded the medal of freedom. And given a cabinet post until she becomes governor of Georgia and DNC chair

Gabriel Sterling (paraphrasing) on CNN: If the Republicans lose, it’s President Trump’s fault.

Here, use Jon Ossoff’s shirt. Don’t ask me how I got it.

DNC chair is fine but the governorship is going to Mrs. Lance Bottoms.

The needle just hit 67% for Warnock, which should be "leaning Warnock," but it still says "tilting." Anyways, better than 2:1 odds for Warnock now.
