Yeah, very disappointed that the counting bias has reversed.

Houston, Forsyth, Cherokee, Bartow, Floyd and Columbia (all GOP) are yet to report (much of) anything.

On the other hand, Chatham and Dougherty (DEM) have reported basically nothing, while Richmond, Bibb, Muscogee and Clarke are at half to two-thirds.

And that doesn't get into the fact that Dekalb, Cobb and Gwinnett are at one-third more or less.

Democrats still have a lot of vote out: it's just less obviously-scattered than the GOP bloc.

Don't forget the Marianas - those people live in fear of North Korean missile attacks because of they're part of the United States. They deserve to have a say in American policy as well.

And perhaps most importantly, the US Virgin Islands, which just happen to be 76% Black. Time for some more diversity in the Senate.

Without representation its colonization.

30 minutes after polls close: "We are doomed!"

60 minutes after polls close: "We are gonna win!"

90 minutes after polls close: "We should all settle down"

What's the next blanket take on the schedule?

Depends on when everyone is let out of horny jail.

Do we really want out, though?

That's a little dicey with the low population, but maybe it can work:

Jimmy Carter watching tonight’s results.

For once, I'll agree with you. I'm glad that Carter is able to see his home state turn back to his party before his death.

I must say it is heartening to see the black guy run slightly ahead of the white guy in Georgia, baby steps of progress.

Anyone know how much vote is left in the Atlanta area?  Looks like a lot outstanding in DeKalb.

The disappearance of the working class voter without Trump in the ballot is hilarious. Wonder how Republicans will sell the “working class party” narrative without Trump from now on when they are firmly against popular economic stuff like the $2000 stimulus.

Perdue and Loeffler are also poor candidates to appeal to the working class.
Loeffler owns a NBA team, worth 800million, and her husband is chair of literal Wall Street stock exchange

Perdue was CEO of Dollar General, a company that second to Walmart has destroyed small town America

If both Democrats carry this election, it might lend more credence to the general observation on southern states in the modern day alignment. If they flip D, they don't come back.

Did you see her baseball cap, though? She wears a baseball cap.

Oh, that's right, I forgot! Such a working class champion.

I think Warnock is a good guy, he'll make a good senator. Don't know Ossoff that well, but he can still lose so suppose thats alright. The real question here is, what parts of the Biden agenda get forwarded and does the Republican party continue to embrace Trumpism or run away from it.

Trump belongs in the dustbin, so one can hope that gets fixed. As far as the Dem agenda goes, perhaps some Climate legislation would be good. The rest of the Bernie stuff belongs in the trash with trump and doesnt sell particularly well either.

Two things things basically:

1. Biden's judges could get through for 2 years. Including if Justice Breyer were to retire.
2. Anything financial could get passed via reconciliation. This could include repealing parts of the Trump tax bill and passing $2,000 checks.

Again, they both have to keep the lead tonight.

Ossoff has pretty consistently been underperforming Warnock by 0.75 points (margin) thus far.

Not yet seeing an actual overperformance for Ossoff in rural GA.

While I would have voted for Purdue myself, I have to say that IF Loeffler loses tonight, it will make for one happy PQG.

In terms of representation for non-Puerto Rico territories, I think it would make sense to give each of them one House seat but no Senate seats. This gives them representation but still accounts for their small size so they aren't overrepresented. I'm not sure the Constitution would allow this though.

It's hilarious how bad the FL Dem Party is compared to the GA Dem Party in terms of competency and candidate qualities.

North Carolina is a pretty glaring exception to that, no? Also Florida if you count that.

Perhaps all the attacks on Warnock's faith actually backfired by motivating black voters to turn out.

I’d be fine with a Perdue/Warnock split, not just because of Senate control / six-year vs. two-year term but also because I like Warnock way more than Ossoff (and actually agree with him on some issues).

We've learned something tonight.  This is like 2018.  Without Trump on the ballot, Republicans have problems.

This also explains why Dems lost House seats in 2020... they shouldn't have taken the ones they just won for granted with Trump on the ballot.

2022 is probably going to be a bad year for the GOP.  I don't care that Biden is President and the out of office party usually does well.
