I think we would have a shot. We could persuade Collins and Murkowski to help.

No, we should continue to throw tear gas at people crossing the border and putting children in cages. After all, that seems to be what helps with the Latino vote.

(Snark aside: yes)

Getting the Pandemic under control and getting a meaningful (at least as meaningful as one can get with a Republican Senate) should be the top priority of next year. We allow this to take priority over those, it increases the likely hood of 2022 being 1994 or 2010 2.0.

Lindsey Graham says he wants to work with Democrats on immigration.

Getting DACA permanently into law might be doable, but even then it'll require giving McConnell something, even if the Dems win both Georgia runoffs.  I just don't see anything else as feasible.

Not unless Democrats win the Senate since it is so toxic to the Republican base that there is no room for compromise. And if Democrats win the Senate it should be low priority compared to stuff like the Covid response, a public option, action on climate change, voting rights, and criminal justice/policing reform.

Also Tillis has been trying to push this throughout the Trump era. Lankford, Graham, Sasse, Marshall, Rounds and possibly Toomey now that he is retiring could possibly be open to supporting it.

The very first priority of the Biden administration should be getting Covid under control after that depending how the Georgia runoffs, go i'd like to see Democrats focus on HR1 instead. Democrats should be able to make a good convincing case for it and if passed will make it easier in the future to pass other reforms.
