CNN does not see MS-Senate as a „key race“ ...

I think this could end up pretty close.

When has it ever been a “key race”?  And why would Dems losing in MS make this close?

All these stressful takes are totally forgetting that Biden is preforming extremely well with independents in the polling

Dems at this thread after massively obsessing on early voting trends: Don't look at the numbers (even though there's nothing else to look for right now). Sumter county pops out: LOOOOOK AT THOSE NUMBERS ITS BAD FOR TRUMP

A bit more nuance to the sentiment that you seem to have purposely overlooked

Alright. Arizona and Florida looks mostly to be in the bag for Trump. Now what he has to worry about is Pennsylvania.

Nothing is “in the bag” for anyone

We're in the best timeline, not only is Trump perhaps winning, but we're gaining house seats in places like South Florida, hahahaha

The BLM violence probably did more to help Trump win then anything! Democrats made a huge mistake becoming violent. They should have stayed peaceful, focused on covid, impeachment and fixing the economy.

Lmfao y'all were just plotting to killl the governor of Michigan

I still think we win, but regardless there will be some SERIOUS questions about just how the hell we lost so much Latino support. Seems we might have taken minorities for granted.

Keep dreaming

Thanks for another productive post!

NyT:
Quote
Speaker Nancy Pelosi acknowledged a “challenging election” in a letter to Democrats, after multiple first-term House Democrats lost their seats to Republicans.

Yeah, I think it's time for her and Hoyer to step down.

Agreed, I’m sick of these old people holding onto power. We need younger leaders who aren’t completely out of touch

Yikes Arizona feels like it’s sliding away

These are not the numbers Trump needs to reclaimed the lead

MSNBC said he needed around 60% and it was 59+%

You’re an idiot. Shut up

I mean I’m glad Spanberger hung on but girl like.... complaining about a BLM attack ad against you and blaming leadership? It’s called a campaign. Learn to run one better next time so you can fight off these attacks.

She's right though.

"Defund the police" sounds really bad.

Cool. No one in the Democratic leadership ever said to defund the police. So, again, Spanberger should be able to run her own campaign without blaming others for nearly losing.

But Rashida Tlaib and AOC were all about defunding and their words were used against DMP and Spanberger

Awesome. Maybe Spanberger should complain about them then? But to be honest, she really should take responsibility for her own election results. Stop scapegoating others for your own crappy results.

Spanberger is saying that the leadership should have put its foot down and tell Rashida Tlaib and AOC to knock it off, or else...

LOL Yeah let's muzzle the best rising star in the Democratic Party and pulverize youth turnout.

Deflecting blame is pathetic. Put forward a vision instead of handing Trump and the GOP the narrative.
The best rising star? Kamala Harris?

Anyway, we are putting forward a vision. They just suck up all the oxygen in the room. And for the record, I think kicking them out of the caucus is a bridge too far but asking people to change their messaging is fine. Don't identify as a democratic socialist. It doesn't actually accomplish anything and distracts voters from real messaging. Don't use the phrases "abolish" and "defund" when you're really talking about reforming flawed but not unpopular institutions. Push left behind the scenes if you like but always pretend to be more moderate than you actually are.

I agree that that is the correct take. The fact that these exit polls are demonstrating overwhelming, cross-party favor for universal healthcare and green energy initiatives means that the progressive position on these issues is the moderate position. Florida passing a $15/hr minimum wage means there's a disconnect somewhere. Progressives need to emphasize that their positions are, actually, very much so in perfect alignment with the majority. It's the conservatives blasting support for tax cuts and oil subsidies that are out of step. I'm not sure how best to actually craft that messaging, but as long as working class voters are swayed by Trumpism and culture war nonsense, the Democratic leadership is doing it wrong.

There is a disconnect somewhere. its that you don't need to take the furthest left position on EVERYTHING. The cultural issues are what lose Dems races. "Defund the Police" for example, was the STUPIDEST f***ing phrasing I have ever heard and the fact that certain members of Congress were pushing it is ridiculous.

He did win.

Notice how it's the blue precincts that always have election irregularities/just enough ballots in the end to magically put dems on the top:

Want to provide any concrete evidence that he won? You know, the type that is generally needed to prove such claims in court.

Everyone just needs to ignore SN. He's clearly just trolling and it won't stop until everyone completely stops engaging and acts like he doesn't exist. He's not contributing anything productive. Just saying the same thing over and over and over

It is not controversial to point out that Joe Biden is not a popular or charismatic politician. Either is Kamala Harris - hence the Democrat primaries.

So there needs to be some careful analysis of the vote count. IMHO a significant number of the votes are down to the 'get rid of Trump' sentiment, and likely very little to do with any enthusiasm for Biden.

Joe Biden is a popular politician. His favorability ratings are above water

Imagine calling SN a hack after what has been posted on the forum the last 8 months about this election.  The hypocrisy is strong.  Y'all thought Biden was about to win 413 EV, so GTFO!

SN is called a hack because he posts the same 3 word sentences over and over. there's a reason that I have stood up for you and Sir Woodbury (even though I vehemently disagree with you both) and have never once defended SN. There's a difference between being extremely biased and just straight up being an annoying troll

Really hope some people don't start with the whole "Joe Biden isn't my President" BS.

Joe Biden IS your President
Donald Trump was your President
Barack Obama was your President

I wish them all the best.  I will support Joe Biden as he begins his term and hope he does well even though I don't think its the best direction at all.

This is a very mature reaction. I remember having a really hard time, but still saying this in 2016 (although not on here) about Trump. Kudos to you. I know how bad it sucks

Rick Santorum is more relevant than Donald Trump at this point.
