CO is now basically done as well, because Gunnison County was the last county to certify yesterday after a Covid outbreak there.

There’s still a recount going on in CO and certification will happen next week.

Kinda sad that CO takes so long to certify its results after being hyped for having such a „good“ election system ...

*Best performance for a Democratic presidential candidate since the racist Horatio Seymour in 1868.

Remarkable, but a ceiling, inevitable R swing in 2024. He even did well in conservative parts of the state

'Borrowed' a VPN.  Got the Connecticut and Nevada official results.  Pennsylvania is a hybrid of saying the results are certified along with saying the results are 'unofficial' because they don't include the ballots received after election day.

I had thought that the Idaho website was redirecting me, but, in fact, their website is still saying 'unofficial results' as is California.

I figured out Washington State, the results on their website are official and certified.

This still leaves the following states without official or certified results on their website:
1.California
2.Colorado (due to the Covid outbreak)
3.Idaho
4.Minnesota
5.Missouri
6.New Jersey
7.New York (bunch of jerks)
8.Pennsylvania

It is interesting that now that only 2 states have trended Republican in every election since 2004, Arkansas and Pennsylvania, states like West Virginia, Tennessee etc all trended democratic, but Arkansas and Pennsylvania remain the only 2 states that have trended Republican 4 times in a row.

Yeah this is really confusing me. Those votes were supposed to count, and voters had expected them to count too. All court challenges to them failed. So I don't understand why they are not in the final totals.

What was the case of Maryland specifically? Obviously it's super blue and Biden did well in the entire Northeast, but he should really be commended for that performance there.

MD seems like a state that is tailor made for a candidate like Biden, especially in an election where the opponent is Trump:
1) It's one of the most college educated states, primarily suburban and has a high black population (that's pretty highly educated too). On this point, MD isn't just suburban, it also contains the suburbs of the DC metro, which seems to dislike Trump more than any other major metro area in the country.
2) On top of that you have Biden being from next door and a lot of voters probably were familiar with his record / accomplishments just from the local media coverage over the years and liked what they saw.
3) Trump's unthoughtful comments about military members and their families hurt him among this voting bloc and this shows in Anne Arundel County, which has Ft. Meade and the  Naval Academy.

We're still waiting on Georgia's re-certification, but basically.

Biden won Mission Hills, KS by 39%. Clinton won it by a point in 2016. Also Romney +40

You have your numbers wrong. He won it by 12.

MD is trending blue the same way VA is, people just haven't paid as much attention to it because it was already a solid blue state.

There are generally 3 main population centers in Maryland.

1) You have the Baltimore area which has historically been Democrat, but the suburbs are turning more Democratic.

2) You have minority areas just outside of DC, mainly Prince George's but now also growing into Anne Arundel County which have historically been Democrat but are gaining in population and shifting counties like Anne Arundel more towards Democrats.

3) You have extremely wealthy areas outside of DC, mainly heavily populated Montgomery County.  This is kind of where the movement is.  It's basically very similar to Fairfax County in Virginia.  It's filled with educated upper middle class white, asian, and other minority voters who have been trending Democratic for years.

The more rural parts of Maryland are extremely sparsely populated and some of them aren't super religious conservative in the same way that Southern Virginia is (though some are).

So basically the three main population centers have been trending blue to varying degrees for years and there's little to nothing to offset that.

The Michigan electors had their addresses posted on the certificate. Isn't that...a problem?

They're all Democrats chosen by the Michigan Democratic party. Failure to vote for the Democratic candidates will result in their automatic resignation and cancellation of their vote per Michigan election law.

I think the worry is more that they'll face personal threats from the Trump cult. We are talking about a state where Trump's supporters planned on kidnapping or murdering the governor. What happens to their votes if they're unable to show up and vote? And even if they do, violent retaliation afterward instigated by Mr. Trump seems worryingly likely.

Pretty sure they'll ask to be replaced first.
