At what page number was this thread peak doomer? I want to see the funny hot takes

I think this one is particularly funny with hindsight:

Trump's leading Georgia.

America, we're so screwed.

Trying to find a post I read some time ago that I think is in this thread. Something about how Democrats were hoping to raise turnout after the low-turnout 1996 election, and some Canadian pollster found that a lot of these people didn't turn out to vote because they were extremely conspiracist, or something?

You don't get to mock any alternative analysis after how badly Mr. Electable flopped the Senate races.

In the end, Biden only overperformed the polls in three states (as per 538)

California, Colorado and Louisiana

Every other state Trump overperformed the polls
Trump did really well as did the GOP. You can't categorize this election as anything else than a Democratic loss. Trumpism was re-inforced. If GOP abandons it they will lose millions of voters including myself. Won't vote dem: either third or don't vote.

The Republican victory in 2020 is the greatest most glorious victory since the great Labor victory in the 2017 UK election...

CNN's sidebar is now showing Biden +13371 in PA, up about 1000 from earlier.  Not sure if they announced where this came from.

I logged off after Florida, but i think the mood started to change on Twitter when Nate Cohn's needle started showing Biden as a slight favorite in Georgia.

lol

The left is not going to get far if it keep believing in the delusion that a majority of voters are closet progressives who are just waiting to cast their ballots for Bernie Sanders or AOC.

I mean, if Republicans lost the White House, a net Senate seat at absolute minimum, and failed to take the House, but what is that but a loss?

I do, because my guesses overall were incredibly accurate.

I wasn’t aware Biden was running for Senate.

California isn't done counting.

I guess it depends what timeframe of polling averages we are talking about but from the ones I remember, I will add these to the list of Biden doing better than expected:

Minnesota

Connecticut

Georgia

Maryland is headed in that direction

California is headed in that direction

Jennifer Medina: Mike Noble, a Phoenix-based pollster, told me: “That’s a wrap for the presidential contest in AZ. Trump needed almost 60% on this ballot drop, he got very low 50s. #Ballgame.”

That is true unless each vote dump is substantially different. Why was this vote dump substantially more Dem than the last one? I don't know.

It came from AZ-06. Which is Maricopa's purplest district. The rest should be even bluer.

Good thing the people there all have such stellar qualifications beyond their associations with Trump.

The dumps are by congressional district? Where did you get that info?

Dave Philipps: Nevada’s Clark County, home to Democratic stronghold Las Vegas, still has 63,000 ballots to be counted. So far every update from Clark has helped Biden. Next update by 7 p.m. ET.
