Trumpland

It's the bread scientist! Surprise

If Daryush "legalize rape" Valizadeh would like to move to West Virginia, I'm sure whatever state he currently lives in would be happy to see him go.

Only legitimate rape, of course.
And if it is the body has a way of shutting it down

Do you really? Or do you just like that the democrats will be back in the white house?

Most democrats I know, all agree that Biden is an awful candidate on the basis that after 47 years he's still achieved nothing in politics, is likely taking corrupt money from foreign governments and changes his positions on core policies to suit the mood.

I like Biden for Biden.  He's a class act, a decent man, a "good" politician, willing to work across the aisle, recognizes the power of bipartisanship, and has a strong desire to restore decency and respect to the Oval Office.

Your guy is the most horrid person ever to be president of this country.

Fair enough. I respect your opinion.

Out of genuine curiosity - do you have any curiosity or wonderment for Hunter Biden and James Biden having a track record over decades for coincidentally earnings contracts in countries where Joe Biden had responsibility for U.S foreign policy, despite both James and Hunter having no experience in those industries and no experience doing business in those countries?

Yeah because Ivanka Trump is totally qualified to go abroad and represent the US at official events.

This is more ballots than I thought were left in Georgia. If there are that many votes still left to count, that’s bad for Trump. Biden would only have to win them 64 percent to 36 percent or so.

Biden becomes the first candidate to get 2 million votes in Massachusetts history. This was almost guaranteed to happen because Clinton got 1.995m.

Also first to get over 80% in Suffolk County since 1964.

can someone do an idiots guide to the remaining Georgia counties?

Among those with >1000 ballots left:
Chatham and Gwinnett: Very Blue, maybe Biden +40 in the VBMs
Fulton and Clayton: Overwhelmingly Blue, maybe Biden +80
Forsyth, Harris, Laurens: Very Red, but probably close to a draw in the VBMs

Harris County just finished their mail-in count. Despite being a Trump+44 county, Biden netted 70 votes from the mail-in votes.

Philadelphia is a bit further ahead on their elections site. The city just reported out another 7K absentee ballots, which Biden won. It should cut Trump's lead by another 6K once it's factored in.

I had to do a double take when I read this. For a few seconds I thought you were calling Harris County TX a Trump+44 county.
Harris County GA is on the Alabama border just north of Columbus and just south of Meriwether County, which includes Warm Springs.

I remember reading some super-cringe RooshV stuff about how all women were trash and rape should be legalized, that kind of stuff, back when making fun of MRA/GamerGate losers was a thing.  He used to be a "pickup artist", and won the contest to be the most uber-misogynistic of that whole uber-misogynistic subculture.

I guess he's now moved on to being a right-wing bulls--t artist?  Although based on his Twitter bio it looks like he took a brief detour into the tech-bro influencer culture?  Lonely, right-wing white internet bros are the world's easiest targets for grift.

I'm looking at the PA DOS site but it's fruitless IMO. It just says how much counties have left to "count" but there's no way of knowing if they've counted a bunch already but have not actually reported them.

People are talking About biden underperformance with some hispanic voters but here is something to remember

yes trump did better hispanics in 2020 and Hillary did even better with them in 2016 but look at where that got them in the end.....

The fact is Biden built a more broad coalition that was getting a good chuck of votes form ever ethnicity instead of just relying on 1.He many not have dominated with that group like Hillary did but he did not have to since unlike Hillary he was doing better among almost every other group of voters.

The big leason here for both Dems and the GOP is make the effort to win over every American instead of simply just relying on 1 group of voter to help you get the to the white house.

Here's how I think GA is going to play out:

1) Trump is up 12,764 votes right now, with 50K uncounted votes
2) Biden is going to come out of today's absentee count with a 5-10k lead in Georgia
3) There are about 9k overseas ballots that could arrive in time to be counted tomorrow. My guess is only a fraction of these will utlimately end up being counted
4) There are also like provisional ballots in all counties that will still need to be counted. Just read that Gwinnett alone has 1,000 or so

That's GA in a nutshell.

Hard to see Biden losing GA at this rate.

I'm not sure about generally blaming the "liberal wing" of the party, but you have to admit their branding is God-awful. Progressives talk about how popular their ideas are, but progressives are often the ones that come up with these awful catchphrases. "Defund the police" is a guaranteed vote-loser, even if police reform is popular. Calling themselves "Democratic socialists" is a vote-loser, even if progressivism can be popular. I don't even understand that one, seeing as how they are social democrats at their leftmost.

Conservatives know how to dress up an unpopular idea and make it sound good. For some reason, Liberals and Leftists seem to want to take popular ideas and make them sound bad.

They do need to improve their outreach among Hispanics specifically because this cycle it was just atrocious.

The only group Biden did better among than Hillary was Whites. If there's 1 group that matters the most it's Whites.
