The background music on CNN is too energetic and anxious to have any chance of calming down.

That drum beat!

Texas is looking close but no cigar for Biden in a very early look...Biden matching but not exceeding Beto.

Democrats might still gain several House seats and the state House with 'close but no cigar'.

Biden way up in NC with over half reporting.... Come on, that would be huge.

I just saw NC went from <1% in to suddenly 55% in

Yep.
Now sitting at 60% counted on NYT.
And their Forecast Needle shows trump chances of winning it at 56%.
OMG.

I'm starting to feel a little nervous. NC, however, is looking good for Biden... isn't it? :/

Its not only Cuban, but Biden has a Hispanic problem

Hispanic voters per early 2020 exit polls:

Florida:
2016: Clinton +27
2020: Biden +8

Georgia:
2016: Clinton +40
2020: Biden +25

Ohio:
2016: Clinton +41
2020: Biden +24

Source: CNN

Yeah Oscoela county in FL is only Biden +18 albiet with 83% in, compare that with Biden +25. This is the Puerto Rican county in FL.

We're in the best timeline, not only is Trump perhaps winning, but we're gaining house seats in places like South Florida, hahahaha

The BLM violence probably did more to help Trump win then anything! Democrats made a huge mistake becoming violent. They should have stayed peaceful, focused on covid, impeachment and fixing the economy.

If Biden's overperforming Hillary among whites but underperforming among non-whites, then BLM violence probably wasn't much of a factor.

This doesn't look good for Biden.

Everybody making fun of me for being a doomer is looking pretty bad right now.

If after everything, Trump wins again or makes it close, I'm not going to trust the polls again. This is seeming like a 2016 redux.

Except the FL polls were all over the place--and I'd been saying all election not to trust them because the state always does whatever it wants in the end.

And you were right. I had predicted Florida as a narrow Biden win, but as I said the other day, I anticipated that this state could go either way, with the Miami-Dade vs. outstate swings that we saw in 2018. And as in 2018, it appears that the Miami-Dade swing has prevailed, and will hand Florida to Trump.

Not really wanting credit but more that it's not a great reason to not trust the polls in general, as long as the remaining states are within the MoE.

Florida's just a really bad state in general to figure out until the votes are actually in.

CNN: "If you had told us four years ago that Georgia would be competitive, we would have said *no*..."

What?

I understand your point. Already, the way I view elections is changing due to these early results.

Who the f**k is this idiot on CNN saying it wasn't foreseeable four years ago that Georgia would be a swing state. It was only a 5 point margin.
