So Biden might win 5 states by 1 million or more

California
New York
Illinois (maybe?)
Massachusetts
Maryland (maybe?)

Trump's best state looks like Tennessee at 700k or so.

Also note that Biden's margin in California is around 5 million.

This is kinda important, it shows how packed up Democratic voters really are, it's actually gotten worse since 2016.   It's now actually feasible to see the Democrats winning the popular vote by 4-5% and the Republicans still winning the Electoral College.

Is this really sustainable?   Would the government have real legitimacy with such a loopsided flipped result?   The elected National Leader winning significantly fewer votes than his opponent and still being elected to office?

It sounds like a broken system to me.

What would be the outcome if EC votes were proportional to population? Ie if Wyoming keeps their three EC votes and every state then gets a number proportional to their voting population? It would be a way to keep the EC but make it fairer

If one is going to go through the constitutional amendment process for such a change, might as well dump the EC entirely and save a lot of hassle.

Why is the vote count so slow in New York?

Doubling down on the Popular Vote proves he won.

News conference on how he's going to win today.

Does anyone know if there is a list of which states include mail-in ballots with their precinct vote totals?  I know a lot of states don’t, and I fear this is going to create huge problems for calculating things like PVI this year.

I run a collegiate 100m in 9.81 seconds.  My opponent runs it in 9.75 seconds.

9.81 would have been a record on its own.  But it's 0.06 seconds more than my opponent's time.

Clearly, though, my time of 9.81 seconds makes me the actual winner.

I was hoping we'd get clearer answers this morning on whether the two Wayne County board members signing affidavits opposing certification actually meant anything. Seems like the consensus is a hesitant no, and that their only option would be litigation which probably wouldn't work. In the end, its probably all for show and won't have an effect, but I can't help but worry all the same.

Those messages are sickening. Republicans have become akin to a cult and a street gang. Obsessive, unreasonable demands for loyalty and threats of violence for not complying with said demands.

The AP says Virginia's election commission has now certified the results, but their website still says otherwise.

The reason I'm not really worried is they need to accomplish a miracle in 3 different states (or 2 if one is PA).

The problem with this logic is it assumes that having multiple states be required should have quashed this entirely weeks ago... that Trump and crew are still pursing it is a clear sign they'd ABSOLUTELY steal the election if they could get away with it.

This is indeed a bit strange.

Are there any statistics backing up his claims about how many mail ballots got rejected in 2012 and 2016 vs. 2020 ?

In the Vienna state elections, the numbers didn't vary much:

1.23% of all mail ballots counted got rejected in 2020 vs. 1.14% in 2015

https://www.wien.gv.at/wahlergebnis/en/GR201/90099.html

If really 4% got rejected in 2016 as Trump claims vs. almost nothing this year, this would be highly suspicious.

Obviously very tough to do, but as the EC is sacred for the States Rights crowd, making the EC more equitable is one solution.

Speaking out against Trump and the GOP on Facebook for the first time in four years.

We'll see how this goes.

The easiest way to do this would be to change the formula for allocation of the House of Representatives to something like the Wyoming Rule or one of its variants.  This can be done by legislation; no constitutional amendment would be required.  Since a state's electoral votes are equal to the sum of its Senators and Representatives, this would have the side effect of making the EC more equitable (though still not completely fair).

Remind me again why Hillary was wrong for saying half of Trump supporters are awful?

She was not.  Around 50% of Trump supporters are literal criminals yet it's inappropriate to discuss this fact.  Instead we must allow them to engage in their criminality in plain view.

If Democrats don't hold them accountable when Biden is in office I am going to vote straight Republican in the midterms and tell my elected officials that I'm doing it in protest of their inaction.
