I do think people will ask how we were able to go from THIS in a similar situation:

A LOT of it will indeed come down to "the internet." Or just modern technology in general changing the way we consume information.

But probably, the victory should have been larger nonetheless. And there will be many legitimate questions as to why it wasn't.

Georgia:

Election officials lack a statewide count of outstanding provisional ballots in Georgia, which were issued when voters went to the wrong precinct, their registration information couldn’t be found or they lacked photo ID.

Fulton County reported 3,900 provisional ballots, and DeKalb County had 1,600. But data on how many provisional ballots were pending in most other counties weren’t available.

Election officials will count provisional ballots without any further action needed from voters in many cases. For example, if a ballot was cast in the wrong precinct, votes will be counted for races that the voter was eligible to participate in.

But if voters' registration information is in question, they would need to provide it to county elections offices before the end of the day Friday for their ballots to be counted.

1) How are you going to get control of the senate back and keep it without at least one FL seat?
2) What's your backup plan for when razor-thin majorities in AZ and GA go the other way in a presidential election?

What do these questions matter if actually winning statewide in Florida has proven to be beyond our control for nearly a decade?

Some parts of Florida looked good for the Dems. Duval County, for example, is clearly a Tilt D county going forward. Miami-Dade was only 5 points more Dem than Duval lol

The margins were pretty good for Dems pretty much everywhere except for Miami Dade, right?

They also slipped in Broward and Palm Beach, I think the Jewish vote may have shifted right a little bit. Osceola was bad as well.

Find my back-of-the-envelope math, if Democrats had merely maintained Clinton's margins in the ladder in Miami-Dade, Trump loses

After the red mirage of the other night it looks like we will end up with a fairly convincing Biden victory map minus Titanium Tilt R Florida. This is about what Biden-bullish people were expecting before the inflated leads and giddy hopes of the Trump-has-COVID eon. What were very inaccurate still were the margins we were seeing in a lot of state polls, but the red-and-blue map itself is starting to look pretty good.

As he should. Nate Silver has plenty of times proved that he is a sublime data analyst, but a terrible pundit. Most notably when he completely wrote off Trump's chances in the 2016 republican primaries. Keep talking those numbers Nate, but don't make baseless gut feeling calls.
