It's not that much worse than Clinton did with them (+27), and Biden's gains with whites will more than offset it.

Obama was only up 15 in 2008.

That Florida number is quite good. To win the state, Trump needs to at least match DeSantis’ and Scott’s support with Latinos, especially if the seniorquake for Biden materializes.

Trump doing worse than DeSantis and Scott with hispanic voters is a pretty terrible sign for him.

Yup.  10-11, depending on who you ask:

Quote
Our poll showing the Latino vote was not enough to push Democratic candidate Bill Nelson over the top, with Republican Rick Scott declaring victory. Nelson received 55 percent of Hispanic support from Democrats, while Scott got 44 percent of the Hispanic vote.
.

And for Gillum v. Desantis:

Quote
Even though gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum attracted the majority of the Latino vote with 56 percent, according to our Decision 2018 exit poll, it wasn't enough. Republican Ron DeSantis claimed victory in Florida's gubernatorial race, with only 42 percent of support from Hispanic voters.

We also have to remember that DeSantis and Scott won by razor-thin margins. The slightest Republican losses with Latinos (let alone a 10 point recession) would need to be compensated with an improvement in some other group.

Joe Biden is winning Hispanics from anywhere between 1-50 points. You love to see all the polling organizations absolute ineptitude polling Hispanics.

Yeah, the 2018 FL-SEN exit poll had Nelson winning Hispanics 54-45 over Scott.

So, if Biden is up 57-35, then probably the shift in the Hispanic vote in Florida alone, not counting on any gains among Seniors or any higher African American turnout in a Presidential year etc, ought to be enough by itself to deliver Florida to the Dem column.

Florida has among the most relatively conservative-voting Latino populations, alongside TX. For Trump to be behind in them by over 20 points is terrible for him.
