BUZZ'S FINAL 2020 ELECTION PROJECTION

Four years ago, Donald Trump shocked the world in defeating Hillary Clinton to become the 45th President of the United States.  Now two days before the 2020 election, the question is once again raised if Trump will be able to come up with another improbable victory.  The year began with a record high 90% of Americans satisfied with personal life and the President at his highest approval rating during his term (Gallup).  Since, a worldwide pandemic has taken the country by storm resulting in over 200,000 American deaths.  Social unrest has also swept the country leading to protest/riots and a demand for change.  The President seeks re-election in a time of turmoil in the country.

Joe Biden Vice President (2008-2016), seeks to become the 46th President of the United States.  Biden had initial struggles in the Democratic primary, before having the party rally behind him in a decisive victory.  During these unprecedented times facing the country, Biden promises for a return to normalcy and unification.  Polls show the former VP with a commanding lead heading into Election Day.

NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE PROJECTION

Joe Biden 52.44%
Donald Trump 45.68%

We're in for 2 sh**tshow months if that's right.

Biden's gotta win at least some of FL/GA/NC/TX to stop Trump in his tracks.

Reasonable prediction, I hope it really isn't this close! But it's definitely possible.

Basically my prediction, save for ME-02 and that I'm not going to make a FL prediction.

It probably will though. Buzz is being awfully wishful in his picks.

If the election ends up close, this is probably the map.

But that's a big if.

Reasonable map.

I think Biden 53-45 and gets GA/NC.

Besides that same as your map.

It's a plausible final map. I do think at least one of FL/GA/NC will go to Biden, but I could see a world in which all 3 back Trump or Biden.

Im at where you are but another point or 2 shifted towards Biden which results in that Trump Sunbelt collapse to 388. Can still easily see your map.

Very true. It's crazy how maybe 3 points in the national margin separate the 290-248 map and the 415-123 map. Neither of which I would be surprised to see.

Still crunching numbers for my final prediction. The 290 map was my prediction for a while, but it will probably change tonight!

Buzz, I just wanted to say, you've been a remarkably good sport and I made this comment elsewhere, but Dems will likely get their ass kicked in 2022 if things go as expected Tuesday and you'll be well within your rights to rub it in our faces then.

I'm impressed by your lack of willful denial about this cycle.

Respectable prediction. I appreciate you at least being a good sport and at being honest and not a hack. I think you're the kind of conservative a guy like me can hash out some middle ground with. Cheers, buddy

If Biden is almost up 7 points nationally, he isn't only getting 290 EVs.

A 7 point lead with 2016 turnout would equate to almost 9 million votes, let alone 2020 turnout which would probably increase that to 10/11 million votes.

Where are all these extra votes distributed? They can't all be in California.

Your prediction, albeit a little bit conservative for my taste, is reasonable. You’re pretty much the only Trump supporter I don’t have on my ignore list.
