Write off Florida. Write off Ohio. Even a sizable segment of Biden's campaign team wanted to do such, but special interests and deluded pundits stuck in the 00s won the day ultimately.

Do what I've been doing for the past 4 years and you'll sleep better at night.

Doomer thoughts of Texas and Georgia? I think Dems still stand a chance.

Except Biden will win Florida, Why write it off?

I have to imagine that's a big reason why Black and Hispanic Democrats are waiting to vote.

Why are CA, UT and NJ lagging so far behind other all-Mail states ?

I thought these states have sent mail ballots to all registered voters too this year ?

Another good article breaking down how counties in PA will be counting next week

The fact that Philadelphia, the Collar Counties and Allegheny are starting at 7:00 AM on Election Day, have upgraded their capabilities (more processing and letter opening machines), have promised to give regular counting updates, and will go 24/7 until every vote is counted makes me feel a bit better about Pennsylvania.

California did mail a ballot to all voters but it also has in person voting on Tuesday.

Safe state syndrome.

Also, CA has pretty forgiving deadlines.

The video looks worse than it is. There is plenty of regular mail mixed in their. Those aren't boxes and boxes of just unsorted ballots.

There is no good way to spin first class mail sitting in the same room for a week, when also mixed with voting ballots, sorry.

California's numbers right now are actually pretty amazing given their past history.

I'm not saying its a good thing. But I'm also not going to write off an entire state because a post office in Homestead is backed up.

Lina Hidalgo is less than thirty years old?! That 1. makes a lot of sense given how attractive she is and 2. is really impressive given how high-profile and how powerful her position apparently is these days.

2.3 million votes now returned in CO.

Republicans have returned 50k ballots yesterday, Dems 40k.

Dems remain far ahead though by more than 150k returned ballots.

In 2016, Republicans finished slightly ahead of Dems by a few thousand ballots.

This time, Dems should come out 100k ballots ahead by Tuesday.

Maricopa County electing a Democrat County Recoder -- and Arizona electing Hobbs Secretary of State -- were also huge. These races do matter.

I've said before that, in terms of people's day-to-day lives, the most important position on the ballot in my town this year is Franklin County Register of Probate. (However, it was unopposed.)

My turnout estimate for CO would be 3-3.5 million ballots.

Up significantly from the 2.86 million in 2016.

I expect ca. 3 million mail ballots by Tuesday evening and another few hundred thousand Election Day votes.

That could be 85-90% of registered voters there and almost 80% of the VEP.

CO could give MN a run for the turnout money this year.

With another 12k in Travis as of 1 Central, Travis County is now 50k over the 2018 484k record! Historically, over 100k vote in Travis on Election Day as well, so this turnout would be absolutely unprecedented.

How many registered voters are there in Travis County? It feels like another 100k on election day would be tough given how many have already voted.

PA's Secretary of State and Governor are Democrats, it's the Republicans who have thousands of lawyers to challenge their decisions. Opposite is true in Florida.
