My brilliant, beautiful, creative, sarcastic baby sister killed herself tonight. I'm shattered.

That is awful. I am so sorry. My thoughts with you, your family and the love you had for her.

There are background machinations that may end up relocating me to the States. Shocked

So we both have Covid. Despite getting a first vaccine. That Delta variant is going to cut through low vax areas of the States like a hot knife through butter.

Get vaccinated. Take precautions. Look after yourself.

Tested negative for Covid. Which means I'm recovering.

I'm writing a novel. No one will ever read it, but it's fun for me Smiley

Congratulations! What's it about?

I wrote one the last two years currently under review by family and friends. I'll definitely try the find a publisher or, if not successful, do it myself online. I already started another one.

It's a Gaimanesque urban fantasy involving a werewolf working as a civil servant caught up in a mystery. It's quite fluid, and just came to me as I wrote it.

I got to spend a day last week wandering around the Louvre. Nothing better.

I last posted in this thread when I was diagnosed with Asperger's two months ago. I had an expectation that its cathartic effect would give a positive swing to my life. However it onldepy seems like there has been a regression instead. The last few days have been particularly... hollow.

It's interesting that's been your experience because as a late ASD diagnosee myself, I felt great relief in being able to better understand why I'm inclined to behave or think in certain ways. The regression may or may not be related, but 20% of autistic people also have depression. I've been having some hollow days myself lately.

Well - I did feel a relief in being able to better understand my behaviours and thoughts. However I also fell into a state of lacking more and more the will and ability to progress things. I did not expect this.

I was diagnosed 25 years ago. Always happy to chat if it helps.

Went to mass for the first time since spring today. Considering becoming Polish. Any tips?

I'll be in Florida to see the in-laws for a spell next month. Looking forward to getting stared at because I'm not wearing cargo pants.

I'm likely attending my first Pro-Choice counter demonstration this month.

They are thankfully quiet affairs here, but it's good to have the numbers.
