My life is pretty much exactly the same now as it was on New Year's 2021 and New Year's 2020.

But President Trump told me we are so sick and tired of winning...

A guy just jumped over the counter where I work and stole an armful of booze. I should probably be more shaken then I am rn.

Spoiler alert: blatant attention whoring, subtweeting, and internalized transphobia

I've met many politicians in my time, but meeting Curtis Sliwa on the subway, as I did an hour ago, was unique.

hey guys so I'm trying to plan a basically off-grid vacation next year, my wife and I really would like to visit Alaska, but we aren't sure where to go. We basically want to stay somewhere very remote where we can rent a cabin and "unplug" to just sort of just explore the outdoors for a couple of weeks, but I'm not sure where in Alaska is best for that.

I was also considering maybe Kootenai National Forest or Glacier National Park in Montana, if either of those might be better. Anybody have any experience with these areas or have any ideas?

I was in Alaska over the summer. It is very large and very empty and if you're looking to be where people aren't, you can look just about anywhere. If you really want to get away from it all, there are a substantial number of cabins available on public land; these do not have, for instance, running water. Obviously there are alternatives with more improvements than that, if you're willing to pay a little more.

As far as location goes, I like the interior of Alaska a lot, although it's not as immediately awe-inspiring as the coast. The country around Fairbanks should have plenty of options if that's appealing. I would strongly recommend Alaska as a destination; I loved it there. It should be noted that there are a lot of mosquitoes in the summer.

Took my kids to the library and some self-appointed COVID policeman accosted at me and tried to get me kicked out for not having a mask on my toddler (mask mandates here only apply to 5+).

You have to be a major jerk to think it’s your job to police children wearing masks. So sick of this pandemic Angry

I have a problem. I spent half the day diving into r/SuccessionTV like a literal week after discovering the show (which I have already finished).

I just got threatened by a guy because I wouldn't sell him cigars without an ID. It was bad enough that my manager told me to call the cops, so now I'm sitting here waiting for the cops to arrive so they can look at the footage. And I was feeling all good and being so productive before this happened.

Just got tested, boosted, tested, tired, tested, denied entry, tested, tested, tired, stranded, tested, tested, tested, bloodlet, tested, and tested, in that order.
