Avatar preemptively changed to MO for the short stay in Kansas City. I'll actually be sleeping in KS, which is cool since that means I'll have spent at least one night in KS, NE, and WY on this trip (and I've already stayed in MO both as a child and an adult).

Spent the Sunday cooking again, this time self-made Spaghetti Bolognese.

Everything needed

Quickly fry the bacon in olive oil and then add the vegetables (mushrooms, carrots, onion, celery)

Add tomato paste, ground beef and later garlic

Add red wine (dry)

Then tomato puree and bay leafs

Add vegetable broth, Creme Fraiche and some pepper (no salt, the broth usually contains enough of that)

After about 1.5 hours on moderate heat, it looks like this. Then cook spaghetti

Done

O-WY for now. Spent the night in Sidney, NE and en route to Rawlins, WY after a deliberate detour to Fort Collins, CO. Elko, NV tomorrow night and, God-willing, a safe trip over the Sierras and onto Sacramento, our final destination, on Wednesday. By the time I get home to Michigan in April, I hope to have visited every state west of the Mississippi over the past year.

Very curious to hear about your experience on this stretch of 80.

People want to know why I am not a follower of R, I am not white, I am 1/3 rd of blks impoverished and he uses Narcissistic and enabling tendencies to try to become Prez.

Also, Trump is obsessed with being PREZ since Obama and Biden been in office in 2012 he came out with the northern comment on Obama

Elko, NV. Sac is a 6.5 hour drive away. It's almost over.

Also: I have driven around a desert town at sunset. Your politics mean nothing to me.

You might as well just get on tiktok and insta if you want to brag about your cooking.

Spent the last few weeks deciding whether to entirely leave Atlas or not.. and basically made decision to cut way way way way back, but not fully leave.

A lot of interesting things in Colorado politics, and I have made many good friends for sure.

Our chucklef#ck subordinates have been sent home. In two days I hit the open road with some colleagues-turned-friends for a roundabout trip to SoCal that will be the first leg of my journey back to Michigan... all to be repeated in reverse in a few months when I hopefully start my job in Oakland.

Heading off over the Easter weekend to visit my parents-in-law near Sacramento and then spend a few more days in Lake Tahoe, before we'll return back home Wednesday next week. Not to we celebrate Easter as such, but will take to time to be around family regardless. Wishing everyone a great Easter weekend and I'll be back later next week.

My smartphone survived a cycle in the washing machine. It stayed in my sweatpants pocket, and it still works completely fine, as if nothing happened.

Meanwhile I lost a car key to that.
