Quote
A Tennessee rapper who boasted in a music video about getting rich from committing unemployment fraud has been arrested in Los Angeles. Fontrell Antonio Baines, 31, was arrested Friday on three felony counts of access device fraud, aggravated identity theft and interstate transportation of stolen property.

Baines, who is known online as Nuke Bizzle, faces up to 22 years in federal prison, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. Federal prosecutors say that Baines and his co-conspirators fraudulently obtained at least 92 debit cards pre-loaded with more than $1.2 million.

The criminal complaint alleges Baines exploited the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance provision of federal coronavirus relief, or CARES Act, that was supposed to expand unemployment benefits to freelance and gig workers, CBS Los Angeles reports.

Throw the book at him if guilty. There are people who can't access their rightfully earned unemployment insurance because the program ran out of money in their state or their local government made claiming benefits a byzantine task.

Unemployment isn't Social Security, and it's not UBI, it's temporary income to look for a job and most unemployment offices have closed and they don't make you work with a case manager to verify your work search, but it's only to get back on your feet again. That's why they have WIA, that help people get skills and education to find work and people should take advantage of it and many aren't

Unless Dems get 55 seats or more, the Heroes Act is gonna pass in a modified form and people aren't getting 600 after 1 yr March 2021

Ensign objected to unanimous consent request after 911 and unemployment didn't pass a second yr, there are roadblocks Rs can still pass in the minority that's not appointments

Guys, he's black, so it would be racist to send him to prison for this non-violent crime.
