Santander is a swing vote, depending on what the voices in his head tell him to do, same for Beet. And tbh, Dule is not entirely right wing, he definitely would break with the SW/Coolface/YH trio.

He's a bit nutter, no? I think I'd put you there before him. Not sure but maybe.

He has an interesting philosophy with regards to the court and is honestly very objective in his values with regard to the court. He wanted to see  sodomy laws repealed in the 1980s as he himself is gay but at the same time disagreed with Texas v Lawrence in 2003. Maybe you don't have to see his view as correct but if one was to place a token "right winger" on the court it would obviously have to be MarkD.

Don't even see why you have to insult Mark by calling him a nutter just because you disagree with him. He may be a bit obsessed about the Supreme court but that's absolutely fine for this "job"

"Nutter" is pejorative but sev is correct in observing that most of his views fall well outside the legal mainstream (even the conservative legal mainstream). Of recent justices, I believe only Thomas has come out and said explicitly that the doctrine of substantive due process shouldn't exist. He's certainly put a lot of detail into explaining exactly what he thinks should be done instead, but it's a minority viewpoint. Maybe it'd be good if the court had more diversity of opinion on these sorts of fundamental questions, maybe it'd make for a court that couldn't really function to create binding precedent, idk.

If I'm counting correctly, this gives roughly three "right-leaning" justices, three "left-leaning" justices, two libertarians, and a swing vote (depending upon the case we're talking about, there could be many more swing votes). Nathan would be the furthest left vote on the bench, while Fuzzy would be the furthest right (unless Santander decided to unmask himself). Fuzzy and Badger would write some excellent dissenting opinions and engage in heated debate, and I would trust dead0man to hold the whole thing together with solid reasoning and non-confrontational discussion.
