Black voter stick with Democrats and consistently have 70%+ turnout.

The educational divide between white voters continues to get worse and worse.

I can get close but not quite get this map in Cook's Swingometer right now.


New Mexico doesn't make sense, if it's voting Republican then Arizona should too. Also Chicago is just much too large and diverse for Illinois to vote for a Republican. Everything else can mostly be explained through demographic trends.

There would have had to be major depopulation relative to the rest of the state in Chicagoland for Illinois to flip, which there are no signs of happening at the moment.

Republican Rhode Island hurts my soul every time.

But yeah it basically means what Ferguson97 said plus presumably Republican gains with Hispanic voters and Chicago blight happening. #TRENDS
