Due to Yates resigning his post as chairman of the ILP, the party rules state that a special election must be called to fill this post.  As party secretary, I am assuming I have the ability to call this election.  Party members will have 48 hours to declare there intentions to run.  After 48 hours, the special election will be held.

BrandonW, I have a question.  What is the future of the ILP?

BrandonW, you have done a superb behind-the-scenes job as Secretary, and I would be honored to have you as my successor.

The ILP needs to go back to its roots of being a socially leftist party while economically center left to center right.  If the ILP can return to its roots, it will have a vibrant future.  There is room for a party like the ILP in Atlasia and I hope to see it grow.

Since it is an uncontested race,  I guess I am now chairman.   As a note,  I intend to start the convention as soon as voting ends for our convention location.
