Amazing. I'd love to see both of them hit each of the main battlegrounds in these last three weeks. I'm guessing they end up just picking a couple states to visit together, but the more the better.

If Trump starts itching don't worry--it's just Obama getting under his skin.

I thought so too at first, but it makes it more impactful when he does show up. His speeches at the DNC and at John Lewis's funeral were made all the more awesome by how rarely we see Obama go back into campaign mode like that these days.

It makes the heart grow fonder or so they say.

I think its because he wants to mainly be on the sidelines when it comes to politics nowadays. He's had 8 years of it.

Going in for the kill! After the Michelle Obama video I knew that something special with 44 himself was going to come along. The timing is great too. He might be able to help juice early vote turn out even more.

He is another problem for Trump and a secret weapon of sorts for Biden.

I don't think the exact locations have been revealed, but I read on CNN that it will probably be in FL, NC and WI (and maybe others).
Why WI?
Prefer he went to AZ or OH ... would be better.

Biden needs to secure Wisconsin. Clinton 2016 states plus MI+WI+PA = a Biden victory. Winning AZ and OH would be great but those would just be add-on states to a victory (especially Ohio).

CNN also said that the goal of Obama's appearances is to appeal to Black men, Latinos and young voters. Obama was able to win FL & WI twice and NC once. Obama did win OH twice but it's a state Trump won by 8% and AZ hasn't voted for a Democratic nominee since '96.

FL+WI+MI+PA are smartest choices. Obama performed amazingly in the upper midwest, he's a major asset in those states.

To be fair he appeared briefly to prod Pete and Amy to drop out before ST, and then disappeared again.

If there wasn't an out-of-control deadly pandemic rolling through the country over the summer, I'm sure he would've been on the campaign trail before this, but it should be mentioned that he's indeed done multiple virtual campaign events for Biden already.

Is Obama less popular with the current 18-29 age group compared to his time in office? Curious because it seems this group is more left as a whole. For reference, I was in college in 2008. From personal observations he is still well liked among liberals in my group, but seems to get more hate among some younger people I know.

Pete will be rewarded with a plumb cabinet post he's not qualified for and front-runner status in a future primary election. But he and Amy had blown all their money in Iowa and New Hampshire and their polling was absolutely bad. It helped Biden a little but the main thing was Warren agreeing to eat s**t in her own home state and split the progressive vote. And lie on national television.

It's obvious he cared more about defeating Bernie than Trump. I voted for Obama in the 2008 primary, 2008 general, and 2012 general. Lesson learned to be more careful about who I vote for.

Why are you still arguing the primary? Let it go.

A lot of people have left that age group since his presidency. Some people who were in their teens when he was elected are now in their 30s and a lot of the younger generation is significantly further left.
