By 2000, Democrats hadn't won the Presidency without a sitting Senator or sitting Vice President in the VP slot in 60 years. Based on how close a particular state was, the only choice among those listed is Bob Graham.

I actually wrote in Gore with another Senator that year, Paul Wellstone. Almost any Senate Democrat would have been a better pick than the one Gore made, though.
