Even more so this month, I'm tired of all the blue/green avatars giving us the state of polling at this point in 2016.

It's derailed these threads more than usual lately

It’s really the only argument they have left I guess as to why Trump is still favored

I do it for the opposite reason--I'm getting tired of the "But 2016!" argument and some people need a slap in the face with how little room there is for Trump to recover.

Clinton was up 7 three weeks prior in 2016, at least in WI.

I cannot wait until the election is done and I never have to read a comment saying this ever again.

I suspect that it will become a standard.  A few weeks before the 2040 election, someone here will be posting "but Clinton was ahead by 7 points in '16 and look what happened!"

Sad but true--just look how much 1972 is still brought up especially during primaries.
