Honestly, I think this is petty actionism. The rule requiring negative pcr is clearly more sensible. Non-essential travel by non-american citizens from those countries is negligible right now anyway. Just perptuates "protect us from them" narrative and unnecessary diplomatic damage, which is what their original purpose was.

Interesting. I wonder if this is less a specific Astrazeneca or J&J Issue and more an adenovirus problem then. The Sputnik using countries should be having this Issue too in that case, but considering the Governments involved they might not be reporting it/not have a adequate reporting system. IIRC one of the Chinese Vaccines should also be affected.

I saw this in a campaign ad, do Americans (in blue states) actually do this? I mean under 6 y/o children wearing masks in an outdoors playground? I am as pro mask as you can get, but this seems completely insane.

Off tangent, but probably not. afaik Austria closed it's schools literally days after his wife tweeted that and didn't reopen them (except some primary schools but even that only very limited on off) until about mid may. So as his motivation was to get his kids more in-person education, he probably ended up better in the US.
