I would run for IDS Legisature as Bluce/NCP candidate!
The next legislative election is in January.

With that in mind, there is still a vacancy. I would be happy to make an appointment, if it is desired.

My voting ability! Nooooooo!

Eh, how many controversial votes are there anyway? Tongue You've contributed plenty outside of voting on bills.

Given that we only have 4 candidates who have declared their intention to run since the last general election, I am tentatively running for Senate.

TJ in Cleve, Junkie, Kalwejt, 20RP12 and Nathan have declared their intentions, no? That's five.

So it does.

I hereby announce my candidacy for election to a full term in the December federal elections.

Nathan has not declared anything in this thread.  Declaring elsewhere counts for nothing.

I thought Archangel Zero announced a while ago he was running.  Did he withdraw?

His announcement was more than 2 months ago; and he's made a grand total of 2 posts since then
https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=142916.0
https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=141971.0
and has not posted a required vote.

This leads me to conclude he does not wish to continue with Atlasia. Should he wish to contest the election he only needs to notify me prior to the open of the booth.

I will be running for at-large Senator (when the time comes, retiring from Governor). Smiley

I thought I remembered this.  I don't see a retraction, so if it is in the time frame, I think he would need to be on the ballot.  Not that I want to run against another person who has beaten me in a race (but who hasn't).

EDIT -- Did a little more checking, he voted in the Presidential and in the last Senate by election and has opened a Pacific voting booth and posted in the Pacific legislature.  However, it would come down to the exact date that the election starts

May I suggesting PMing Archangel to ask if still wishes to be listed on the ballot? He hasn't campaigned so I assume he had second thoughts.

No.

He clearly does not want to be active. I will not PM him and if someone else PMs him to tell him, I will not be very happy. HE has responsibility to keep track of these things, and if he can not be bothered to do that, then I do not think he deserves to be a Senator. He will not be on the ballot unless he clarifies that he was serious - I explained my reasons why I think he is not being serious - and any "threats" to take me to court over the matter will not be tolerated and will result in my immediate resignation. I as a citizen feel it is harmful to put those in the Senate who do nothing more than vote as they are told to on ideological grounds. We already elected one of them, if another gets elected - especially if someone here has to PM him to tell him to run - then I will indeed offer my resignation. I've had enough of this kind of BS and will not support it.

...

I was assuming that clarification from Archangel would be in the negative, confirming he is, indeed not running, and we could go ahead and not list him on the ballot without any (potential) controversy.

FWIW, Teddy, I agree with you in principle on this, but I don't think it should be up to the SoFE's discretion as to who appears on the ballot. It might set a bad precedent.

But anyway, I'm obviously not going to sue over this, and I doubt anyone else would, it's just worth discussing, I think. Please don't resign, the game would fall apart in days. Tongue

I'm fine with discussion over my rationale for not including him, or, someone sueing me after the election without telling me - but I do not take well to threats. If you (or anyone else) would like to try to show me that what I'm planning to do is illegal (citing law gets bonus points) then I will, as always, re-examine my actions - however, again, I do not take well to threats.
