Details are still sparse (link) but he was in a small plane that crashed and burned on take-off after hitting a power line.  He survived the crash and was conscious, but the extent of his injuries are unknown.  While I do not care for the man at all, I hope that he makes a full and quick recovery and that the only serious injury he suffers will be losing the primary on June 13.

Bauer's most serious injury is a shattered left heel.  He'll be having surgery on that, probably just after the primary, since they have to wait about two weeks fior swelling to go down before they do the surgery.  I don't think this will affect the race at all as he's expected to have a full recovery. About the only effetc the crash has had is to eleiminate whatever slim chance Jordan had of winning since it smothered any chance of his campaign getting some attention.  This is a Bauer/Campbell race, with the winner facing a non-credible Democratic challenger in November.
