Quote
The biggest declines for Trump in the poll come from seniors (who are now backing Biden by a 62 percent-to-35 percent margin) and suburban women (58 percent to 33 percent).

Quote
Forty-nine percent of voters say Biden did a better job at Tuesday’s debate, which was marked by insults, interruptions, falsehoods and personal attacks — most, though not all, coming from the president.

That’s compared with 24 percent who say Trump had the better performance.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/meet-the-press/biden-s-national-lead-over-trump-jumps-14-points-after-n1242018

Crosstabs: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/7221894-200781-NBCWSJ-October-Post-Debate-Poll-1b.html

If this is even remotely close to accurate, Florida is a lock for Biden.

Ignore that 1 poll and look at the average of polls

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_clinton-5491.html

from this 2 things are very clear
Hillary was stuck in the 40s and was not able to get over 50
trump huge collapse in polls made her leads look bigger than they actually were and once trump recovered his base her lead shrunk

now compared that Biden

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_biden-6247.html

He is well over 50 percent and unlike Hillary his leads over trump is much bigger and more stable
since this race Trump has not had a lead over Biden 1 single time in RCP

2020 is definitely not 2016

Man, Trump sure did get one hell of a debate bump.

Not only that, but everyone is forgetting about the release of trump's tax information.
I believe that accounts for some of this also.

I can’t feel comfortable until Biden is sworn in as president, and Trump/Pence are out.

2016 shook me, and we should all be shook and take things with a grain of salt.  It’s great to see these polls but we should run like we’re 10 points behind and keep pushing strong.

Biden was gonna win the  278 EC map in a Covid environment anyways, this poll is nothing new. MI, PA and WI were already win in 2018 Gov elections

It would have been at least lean R if only Trump had spoken out against Russian bounties in a civil manner.

Even if this poll may have over-sampled Democrats, which is a legitimate possibility based upon posts from others up-thread, it still does not appear that there is a sympathy bump for Trump.

Additionally, after the President's stunt today if it wasn't Biden +10% > +14%, there is credible possibility that it will be in upcoming high quality national polls.

Talk about a week of bad news cycles for the President, including hitting him hard on his Achilles Heel (COVID-19 response), as well the debate and what almost appeared to be an endorsement for far right armed vigilantism, his tax returns showing that he was either cheating on his taxes and/or a really bad businessman (Economy), and now engaging in extremely high risk behavior equivalent to sharing a dirty needle knowing you have Hepatitis or HIV, or unprotected sexual activities knowing that you have an STD... in this case to those sworn to protect the life of the President at all costs (even if that means taking a bullet for the President).

The movement of Seniors to Biden, as we have seen in this poll and other recent polls appears to be a real deal, and not just some random fluke from polling way back two to three Months ago...

Interesting

Only an RV screen through the rest of the election polling cycle?!?

So... reading between the lines---- are they somehow weighing folks based upon their voting records?

I mean how does this impact top-line numbers?

Some Rs still this race is gonna be a nail biter and with VBM and Early Voting starting so early, the votes are stacking up against Trump. Same day voting won't be enough to make up the vote he lost during Early vote especially in the blue wall states

(Thanks for bringing this over to dispute -- PB.

There still may be justice for the way the Democrats treated Trump. This will be their reward for their bogus Russian collusion charge and investigation and a bogus impeachment.  They will reap what they sowed.

Three sentences, and so much wrong pervades those few words. President Trump blackmailed a foreign leader under much stress from a neighbor carving up his country to hurt his most likely opponent. Such would be wrong even if Hunter Biden did something wrong because the right way to do an investigation is to do surveillance in secret in an attempt to discover wrongdoing. The Democrats had to impeach the President for this even if it were politically disadvantageous. It was futile, if necessary. President Trump cannot blame the Russians for the exposure of his transgressions, as no Russian told him to do that. The Democrats impeached the President in good faith and the Republicans mostly acted in partisan lockstep.  Republicans in the Senate (except Mitt Romney) effectively showed that they can excuse anything that President Trump does.

Maybe Democrats will reap the doubt that they left to Republicans who chose to be lackeys of the President. It is up to us all to understand what is right and what is wrong.

1980 is on its way! I would be overjoyed if Biden won by double digits. We need to break out of the cycle of polarization that we've been in at the presidential level for two decades now.

Even more, we need Republican legislators and state judiciaries, along with the Washington leaders like McConnell to decide they are not about to die on a hill of raining through a declared election victory for Trump when he clearly lost by a landslide. If there was a 2016 like scenario only where Biden won Pennsylvania Michigan and Wisconsin each by less than 1% of the vote, you can all but guarantee those Republican legislators what use the finished pretext of declaring voter fraud and certifying Trump's light of electors, then counting on our current stacked Supreme Court of far right-wing - - oh sorry, I meant "strict constructionalists" 😒-- who was rubber-stamp any such decision.
