A more distant point of comparison: last year (pre-COVID) I had a respiratory infection that was diagnosed as a coronavirus.  It was the *worst* cold I've ever had, by far.  Extreme fatigue, horrible dry cough and shortness of breath, but no fever.  I had symptoms for a couple days that got steadily worse, then I was out sick from work for about 3 days (I'm almost never out sick).  I felt a little better and went back to work too early, felt miserable at the office, and crashed a couple days later.  Was out another few days and then worked from home for a week.  It was probably a total of 3 weeks before I felt completely over it.

I bet Trump knew about being infected when he went to debate, or at least to Bedminster. He probably didn't care because he had no symptoms. And as ignorant as he is, he didn't know symptoms usually develop after at least four days. So he said to himself, "I feel fine, who the heck cares about the rest? I want to be on stage and get attention!"
