Interesting to see BRTD rate music genres that sound less like genres and more like Mountain Dew flavors.

Just on the genre in general. Some artists I really like but might rate their genre as B or C.

S-tier: Heartland rock, post-punk, hard rock, arena rock.

A-tier: new wave, pop rock, alt rock, soft rock, yacht rock.

B-tier: blues rock, punk, hair metal, pop, soul, disco, grunge, post-grunge, old school hip hop.

C-tier: indie rock, pop-punk, nu metal, heavy metal, alt metal (dance music, prog rock, singer-songwriter/folk, country rock.

D-tier: noise rock/noise music, classical/Baroque, country, trap/Soundcloud rap, jazz, blues, .

(I don't have an F tier. I enjoy pretty much all music to some degree).

I don't really have a strong opinion, but from what I've heard I can't say I'm much of a fan. As far as I'm concerned, punk was over by 1979 and hardcore and what came after was a mistake. Also, goth is better.
