The ANC unfortunately aren't what they used to be, most of the parties other than ANC and DA are actually crazy, other than a few minor parties it would pretty much be down to DA for me, whose policies I mostly think are decent anyway.

This is not untypical for countries with a dominant party system, as is the case in South Africa. If the choice is between perpetual opposition and getting into bed with your theoretical worst enemies, minority parties will often do it (Ireland and Japan have thrown up examples of this tendency in the past).
