I was raised in a staunchly "maximum choice" environment and fell neatly into that paradigm at first, but being exposed to more skeptical perspectives that weren't the pandering of fire-breathing evangelicals, as well as my religious conversion to a certain extent, has made me a squeamish equivocator on the subject. While the standard "no uterus, no opinion" talking point is clearly in practice but a nicer way of saying "you have no right to have any objection to the status quo" and strikes a weird nerve regarding my gender dysphoria, I do recuse myself from most discussion of the issue on account of its biological irrelevance to my personal experience. I probably fall in the "safe, legal, and rare" camp, and strongly support increasing access to contraception to make the practice less necessary, but I guess that makes me "pro-choice" in this strict dichotomy. I'm dissatisfied with the current legal status of abortion given its reliance on court precedent rather than legislation, and the shaky constitutional logic behind said precedent, but I don't know what my ideal substitute legislative framework would look like.

I am pro not starting or bumping abortion threads every month. I also support increasing access to having a life as well as education in other topics to reduce the need for abortion threads in the first place.

Pro-choice, though I wouldn’t care one way or another if Roe v. Wade is overturned in a 5-4 Supreme Court decision next year. There are far greater battles the Democrats should be fighting such as election reforms, racial justice, and anti-fascism than abortion access at this point. Also, abortion is pretty much obsolete today due to the increasing demand on adoption, which is coming about due to the fact that many women born in the 1990s and early 2000s are developing fertility problems at a very young age.
