a “lid” is a confirmation to the media that a candidate is done making appearances for the day.

These are the days Biden taken a lid before 10AM this month

I wouldn't find things concerning unless if there is more to it.

Very much so. I've heard three times just in the past week - "What is Biden doing? I've heard nothing from him recently" or something similar.

Expecting to win because people hate Trump more than you is exactly the same mistake Clinton made four years ago, and it looks like Joe is starting to get complacent.

Biden has done tons of events in the past two weeks.  I'm sure he was busy on those days.  There's more to running a campaign than going out and doing events you know.

Go through Trump's schedule and find which days he did public events and you'll probably find something similar.  Biden also has to prepare for the debate while Trump apparently doesn't feel the need.

Anyone saying that isn't paying attention.  In the last week, Biden did a CNN Town Hall, a Veterans Town Hall, and speeches on climate change, COVID, the supreme court, and a general stump speech yesterday.

A central pillar to Biden's whole presidential campaign appears to be letting Trump do his own thing and pray that he (hopefully) self-destruct in the process

Never should've been a "central pillar."

Biden has no real campaign slogan, no transformative policy. Just a return to normalcy and "I'm not Trump." It may be enough. But it will not lead to anything beyond a modest win.

The real campaign has just begun. Remember that the vast majority of people have already decided their vote, what both campaigns do in this next month will decide the election results. I think attention from the public really focuses on the campaign with the first Presidential debate. Biden should not be having "off days", he needs to spend every day working as hard as his organizers and surrogates across the country are.

There is ... the dude is 78.

I think he is a one termer and done, which he might be fine for. If he wins and runs 2024 it will only be based on how popular the administration is

And Trump is 74 and is the hero of his own delusional fantasy world.  Your point?

Any thread on Trumps executive time or regular visits to the Golf Course?

Or his super spreader events that are against basically every guideline from his own White House?

Biden looks old as hell in every event I've seen him in. Trump's campaigning amounts to nothing more than him flying into a place, rambling untruths and self-aggrandized statements, and then fostering hate and division before flying off to the next tour stop.

Biden looks like he's getting out-hustled but what substance is Trump offering, really?

He said yesterday that he is debate prepping today. This is not uncommon. But pundits and journalists on Twitter are certainly trying to make it an issue b/c they need something on Biden to complain about to balance the scales.

I think it is more concerning that you are so obsessive that you made a calendar monitoring the activity of someone you hate.

One of Trump's great advantages is that he enjoys campaigning. He is glued 24/7 to cable TV when he isn't doing rallies. Liberals will say "he's wasting time." No, that's debate prep! He is obsessed with what is being said about him and his opponent.

Clinton always hated campaigning and much preferred raising money with rich donors in the Hamptons.

Biden doesn't strike me as that type but he is running a low energy campaign. He has one foot in the grave already.

No door knocking.

No live events.

No signs.

Lid days.

I read today he doesn't even have any offices in Michigan.

That's going to be the "Hillary didn't visit Wisconsin" of 2020 when Trump wins again.

I mean, people don't want door-knocking right now, anyway.  Wasn't there just a thread on this board about that?

People never like solicitors. Pandemic or not.

But it's still effective in registering voters and GOTV. That's why campaigns do it.

This.

For the next 40 days he should run on M4A and jobs. Out of Afghanistan.
