Utah is 100% loyal GOP. Even then it was still close.

It voted for Johnson in 1964.

Ah but it would vote GOP instead of voting for a nonwhite person or a dead horse.

Utah is probably, among socially conservative states, the one with the least record of racism.  It had very few lynchings and actually is socially "liberal" on some things (child punishment, etc.)

I would've picked opebo, but since he's a Republican, I voted the Democratic ticket.

This is a 1990 census electoral map so it is inaccurate to start lol.  Then I'd say a third party could never ever win 48 states + DC.  Especially DC! DC is far more loyal to the Democratic party than Massachusetts is!

The 2004 map doesn'tl ist third parties and if both parties nominate completely unelectable people... We came close in 1992 with ross perot so its possible.

Not sure about Nero but Suetonius wrote that Caligula had planned to appoint his favorite horse, Incitatus, consul. Nero, like his uncle, was a Cadbury Grin (fruit and nut), so nothing would surprise me

He didn't come anywhere near that close.  48 states?? DC?? I don't think so.  Only major parties can win.  Possibly those parties won't always be republican and democratic, but minor parties will never pull it off.

Again faced with 2 insane candidates enough of the movers and shakers in the 2 major parties woudl defect to mine to make it major. The result woudl be that my party replaces one of the major parties.

You are discounting loyal party voters, of which there are alot, who vote for their party no matter who the candidates are.

What?  You're suggesting that a horse or mushroom can be 'insane'?  Or perhaps you meant you and I.

Can animals be considered 'insane'?  I've never thought about that before...  It seems the beast would have to be considered to have Reason before it could be considered to be Unseated...

I'm talking about the movers and shakers who control the parties. enough of the elite woudl defect so that the action of the partisan voters wouldn't effect too much.
