"Air Hillary" is preparing for takeoff again - headed for Michigan.

Clinton will be hosting a $1,000-a-head fundraiser on Saturday in Dearborn for Democratic Governor Jennifer Granholm, it was reported yesterday.

Hillary's fundraising power in the state will be matched against potential 2008 Republican rival, Rudy Giuliani, who will be headlining a cash grab for Granholm's GOP challenger, Dick DeVos, on Wednesday, also in Dearborn.

One of the biggest fundraising attractions in the Democratic party, this is Hillary's latest national trip to rake in big bucks for candidates or the party organizations. Hillary has recently done the same in Washington, Florida, Kentucky, among other states.

She also has doled out a whopping $190,000 plus to Democratic candidates around the nation, according to fundraising reports.

Observers have said Clinton's cash contributions and willingness to headline fundraisers in key states will help her pile up IOU's that could come in handy should she run for the White House.

Granholm can use Hillary's help. Polls have shown the Michigan governor locked in a dead heat with DeVos.

I hope one of our guys gets a good picture of those three together. It would make great campaign material for us outside of Ann Arbor. Smiley

Yeah. My primary point was that while Republicans say it hurts Granholm to be seen with Clinton, I would imagine that Clinton's approval ratings in Michigan are much higher than Bush's.
