I'm watching John King on CNN. An interviewed historian said Biden and Democrats have no vision about the future and are actually in the defensive, while Trump is on the offensive. He suggested also Biden should show his vision during the first debate.

What should be Democrats' vision ?

An America resembling Switzerland more than Russia.

Who was the historian? And I don't get the Republicans have a vision, if they do, it's not a good one

The Democratic vision is of an America where families don't have to worry about going broke because of healthcare costs, blacks don't have to worry about being shot at a routine traffic stop, voters don't have to worry about their voting rights being restricted, LGBTQ+ individuals are protected under the law, women have control over their bodies, public servants don't just serve their own interests, etc.

Overall the Democratic vision is that of a government which serves for and cares for it's people, a people who don't have to suffer under the weight of poverty or discrimination within society, and a society that is inclusive and accepting.

Democrats enunciate their vision every single day.  I'm so sick of the "Democrats have no vision" "Democrats have no policies" "Democrats have no solutions" trolling.  It's the Republicans who have no vision.  Democrats wrote the Affordable Care Act and have proposed a buffet of different ideas for how to improve it and make healthcare more accessible and affordable for people.  Republicans have no health care answers except trying to repeal the ACA, and their 2017 debacle demonstrated plain as day that they have no ideas of their own in this arena.

There's a very clear Democratic vision.

Trump and the GOP are the ones who don't even have a platform, or issues besides "promises kept."

Their vision is that they are in control of running this country into the ground instead of Trump.

Ideally camo guy is doing something useful for society (aka not wearing camo) but otherwise I see nothing wrong with this list. Will Joe be bold enough to move?

Trump doesnt have a vision, he wants continued tax cuts for rich and wants to keep oil drilling and wants the Keystone pipeline. Airlines, not cars contaminate the environment with jet fuel as well. Oil drilling is dangerous and Covid and TB is the aftermath of oil drilling since 1981, when Reagan came to power
