Someone who is economically conservative and socially liberal but happens to prioritize the former?

There were a lot more of those people under W.

You could also have that type of person who says we should “respect everyone’s opinions” and “we’re all different, and that’s okay ✨💗🦋”. Basically the type of person who sees politics as a game or TV show, and not something materially real and important that actually effects real people. So they’re focused on “civility” - to the point where even just saying someone is wrong to vote for someone is being too hostile in their minds.

These are the worst kinds of people.

I know one. He’s a wealthier traditional moderate conservative type. He loves Mitt Romney and voted for Kasich in the 2016 primary. He voted for Gary Johnson in the GE. He’s pretty politically correct (not being so would be uncouth) and largely supports the BLM calls for justice.

He’s probably going to vote for Trump this time because he is worried about Biden’s mental capacity and thinks that a lot of the outrage around Trump is exaggerated. He thinks that when rhetoric is set aside, Trump has governed like a generic Republican.

I think I might be able to peel him off, though. I need to - he lives in Wisconsin.
