Thread dedicated to the latest boat parades for Trump






Massive boat parade for Trump in Mystic, CT:

Mystic — Almost 400 boats flying pro-Trump flags and carrying groups of cheering supporters of the president paraded up the Mystic River on Sunday afternoon.

Boats of every type — from dinghies and skiffs to massive sailboats and gaudy yachts — flew Trump flags of every stripe — from simply "Trump" and "Trump 2020" to "Trump/Pence Keep America Great" as well as cartoonish depictions of the president hugging an American flag or soaring through the sky on the back of an eagle. "Blue Lives Matter," "Don't Tread on Me" and "Socialism Sucks" flags also were popular.

The mystic river is in CT-2, a Clinton+3 district. This district is going to flip to Trump in 2020.

So the cost of the fuel is around $2.60 per gallon, and your average boat gets 3 miles per gallon, times the thousands of boat parades around the country...

These boaters are literally burning their money away. I wonder how much more bang for their buck they would’ve gotten by just donating instead of these shows for their beloved leader.

Can someone please explain how this is supposed to help Trump? Like I don't get who's going to see a boat parade and decide, "Welp, that makes up my mind - Trump it is!"

Also, boating is an expensive hobby, and boat parades undercut Trump's claim to be a man of the people fighting for the forgotten men and women of Middle America.

Boaters for Trump parade starting from Branford through New Haven, Sept. 26th:

Given how the Trump campaign handles money, the parades are probably more cost-efficient pro-Trump media coverage for Trumpers than donating to his campaign it would be.
