I am a candidate for the next by-election to the Frémont Parliament.

Of course Siren (the appointed incumbent) is going to win as easily as a Republican in Wyoming, but I believe in having multiple choices on the ballot.
Take me seriously but not too seriously.

l have communitarian leanings, but I could stress different topics depending on the situation.
I will be an independent voice. A real one. I have no party. I believe I can work with pretty much anyone as long as they are being fair.
I have strong moral convictions but I am open to compromise.

Maybe I'll go more into details the next days.

I was soundly defeated exactly as expected. The only thing standing between me receiveing only my own vote and what happened was MB (whom I don't think voted in a serious way btw) lol.

In general, getting elected without the support of any party (especially Labor or Fed support) is very hard if not impossible. You need huge amounts of name recognition and a good campaign behind you, and a ton of luck to pull it off.

The only example in recent times is actually Poirot in August of 2019 really, where he got a weird coalition of dissident Laborites and Federalists and won a seat as an indy on merit; with a wonderful campaign (rumoured to have been ran by tmth)

I don't really count this campaign as he had a party backing him even if the Libs aren't the most powerful force; as well as in the end some Labor support)

As I've said to you previously, might be wise to try your hand at Fremont Parliament as a non-write-in - we need new active players, and you'd be a great addition! Also a good place to get legislative experience.

I am very likely to run (not as a write-in) for Frémont Parliament this November, in which case, you owe me a vote. I will announce during next month I guess.

I haven't fundamentally changed. I am an independent because parties as institutions tend to fail me... but I don't close my door to anything. I know that Frémont badly needs new candidates... I just hope I don't go from new candidate to perennial candidate, lol.
I believe that a more equitable society = a more stable society and that the latter is very justifiable ends.
I don't promise too much, if not that I'll try to serve you well and to work with everyone.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

I would like to express my thankfulness towards Attorney General Harry S Truman, President MB, ans the Federal Bureau of Investigation for having stopped a plot by a group of fanatically pro-Frémont radicals going by the name of "Pathfinders" to kidnap Goveror of Kansas James Benson, arresting the people involved in the conspiracy.
As much as my opinion on Kansas sovereignty is unambiguous and I'm disappointed by Governor Benson's pro-South leanings, actions such as this are outrageous, deserve to be condemned, and expose those who commit them not as patriots for the Commonwealth but as reckless terrorists.
As a strong believer in rehabilitative justice, I can only hope these people will get to see the error in their ways (of political violence).

In other and much lighter news, I am pleased to say that we passed the budget of Frémont for the Fiscal Year 2021, and even more so, that a budget surplus is predicted without having resorted to cutting social services or raising taxes on poor and middle-income people. I thank, again, Harry S Truman, this time in quality of Prime Minister, Speaker Siren, my other colleague MP YE, former MP Oregon Blue Dog, and also Senator Scott, who is deeply involved in his region even while working in Nyman.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

I am pleased to announce that an amendment to the PTECA which provides for the construction of new, improved, railway connections in the Land of Enchantment, which I sponsored, has passed Parliament and become law. I consider this a first important achievement. I am also pleased to announce that I will run for re-election this February.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

While the COVID-19 pandemic is still sadly hitting our people and creating many a struggle and suffering, we can look at brighter days ahead. The bill coordinating Frémont's vaccine rollout has just been passed by the Parliament and signed by the Prime Minister. Together with federal legislation, this will provide for a streamlined distribution of what's the greatest relief possible during a pandemic like this. A big thanks to Speaker Siren, who crafted the law, and to all my colleague MP's also.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

The brilliant legislator for the Southern region, KoopaDaQuick, offered me the Vice Presidental spot for her campaign to the highest office of the land, and I could not in good conscience refuse. However, this doesn't mean I will abandon working for Frémont or drop out of my re-election campaign. I am committed to this region... but I wouldn't mind a job promotion if by some miracle it happened .

I am going to be brief. It turns out there were ~bureaucratic~ problems and I won't be on the KoopaDaQuick presidential ticket in the end. Still, she has my endorsement. Reject partitocracy. Embrace unity.
Meanwhile, I am of course still running for reelection to the Frémont Parliament. Viva Nuevo México! Viva Frémont!

Just the last reminder that I am running for re-election. During what has been my first term in the Frémont Parliament, I have learned quite a bit of things, and thanks also to my colleagues we have accomplished important things, like pioneering sustainable agriculture based on healthy soil principles, and expanding quality public transport projects. And rolling out the COVID vaccine of course!
I think my record speaks for itself. As always, I don't promise too much, if not that I'll keep working for a more stable, safer, and more community-oriented Frémont.
