Primary is today.  May be a couple days though before all ballots are counted.

Quite a few Democratic incumbents are being challenged in the RI Senate and House, including the socially conservative Senate PPT, Mettis.

Last time I checked last night, it looked like the RI Dems were practically going through a purge. Did that hold?

Looked like most of the incumbents/party endorsed candidates were going down, though most of the races I looked at had 60-70% reporting and may have switched as more votes came in/mail-in's were counted.

Are they being unseated by progressives?

Great stuff. Does anyone know where this will put the factional balance in the Democratic Senate and House caucuses? Any chance of new legislative leadership, or is that a few more cycles of primaries away?
