I know this will get zero traction, but let's see.
Mathematics-related poll.

Erdős simply for being part of the bizarreness that's the Erdős-Bacon number:

(Not that I have anything against Nash; I just don't know much about him outside of A Beautiful Mind, which I've never seen, and some vague knowledge of game theory.)

Erdos is fantastic for his bizarre life story, although Nash’s contributions to mathematics and related fields, particularly economics, were far more profound.

Erdős, purely because of how quirky he was.

Fun fact: when I was at university, my final exams finished a full week before I was due to go home. I spent that week trying to prove the Erdős conjecture on arithmetic progressions. Needless to say, I got absolutely nowhere.

Good thing that trying to prove a famous unsolved conjecture didn't make you lose your sanity!

[some say Nash started to develop schizofrenia while trying to solve Riemann's hypothesis]
