Forbes: When Swing States Will Begin Counting Mail Ballots

Some of their information (such as for GA) was actually incorrect and some (for TX) was incomplete. I've checked as best as possible to verify that each state's status here is in fact accurate.

Quote
States can begin counting votes...

22 days before Election Day: Florida

14-15 days before Election Day: Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina

12 days before Election Day: Texas (counties with >100k people)

4 days before Election Day: Texas (counties with <100k people)

On Election Day: Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin

Unclear: Ohio

So with Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina counting early we should have an idea of who won on Election Night?

Biden has built a insurmountable lead..  Smile

In all seriousness, that seems a relatively high rejection rate.. very early on.

If this trend holds, then Trump is winning in a landslide

Small sample size but this is concerning

I can tell it's election season cause we're overanalyzing 100 votes as if it's 5 million votes. And in just under 3 hours too.

I'll be curious to see how the other 99.998% of the vote turns out

I don't think the rejection rate will be as high as 30%, but it's certainly going to much higher than it usually is.

I don't understand how anyone could possibly be against allowing voters to fix issues before tossing their ballot. There are plenty of reasons why a mismatch could be declared. Perhaps the person checking doesn't know what they are doing, or the voter signed in a hurry, or signed under the assumption it didn't really matter, just like signing receipts after using a credit card.

For as much as conservatives think voting is being made too easy and "vulnerable" by the left, this is the polar opposite - making it too exclusionary for no good reason.

Oh there is a "reason" - the fewer people that vote, the better chance that Republicans win.

Anyone who thinks this is gonna be a low turnout election is kidding themselves.

Calling it right now: Biden breaks 80M and Trump breaks 70M.

Based on return results so far, I think we're going to have historically high turnout.

Seems unfair that some counties get ballots before others in the same state...

Larger counties need to get them earlier because of how long it would take to process/send them.

There is no justification for this. Just simple voter suppression.

I'm assuming you're responding to the tweet and not my explanation for county ballots?

https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/GA.html

Georgia updated its numbers.  The electorate got considerably more diverse with this update.  Returned ballots are 53.6% white.

Georgia is 58% white so that’s good news for the Dems

It feels bizarre that they publicly publish the names and addresses of people who have voted in such an easily accessible format

I wish it wouldn’t be public information. It prevents DV survivors from registering without their abusers being able to find them.

could this backfire because the Democrats have been turning them in quickly whereas the GOP has a lot of outstanding ballots?

If they do, it's proof that karma exists
