Dems have taken over 100 k lead over GOP in Iowa early voting.
IA-1
Dem 56.2 k
Rep 22.7k
Dem + 33.5 k

IA-2
Dem 51.6 k
Rep 20.2k
Dem +31.4 k

IA-3
Dem 50k
Rep 21.9k
Dem +28.1 k

IA-4
Dem 31.3 k
Rep 23.5k
Dem +7.8k

Total
Dem 189.1 k
Rep 88.4k
Dem +100.7k

Daily Absentee Statistics - By Congressional District

How does that compare to previous years? I know Iowa always has a D advantage in early voting, even in really bad years like 2014 and 2016.

Huge advantage compare to 2016
Dems had 42 k lead in 2016
Now Dems already have advantage over 100.7 k lead
I think Dems have the potential to take 160- 170 k lead in early voting.

Between this and drive through voting, Harris "third-most-populated county in the US" Texas is an innovating pioneer in votimg this year.

basically 15 million votes cast.  I think we are approaching 3 million votes a day now.  I wonder if we can get to 5 million a day nationally at some point?

Lina Hidalgo is a hero, looks like Harris County has done exceptionally well despite the GOP state government’s open hostility to voting. She will be a great governor one day.

Those Cameron County numbers are phenomenal. What do you have for Webb County vs 2016/18?

Those Cameron County numbers are phenomenal. What do you have for Webb County vs 2016/18?

I thought I messed up the math at first, but the state & local media are reporting similar numbers!

https://www.valleycentral.com/news/local-news/early-voting-turnout-numbers-surpass-first-day-records-in-cameron-and-hidalgo-counties/

Webb County doesn't seem to have updated their totals since the July runoff. The state is reporting around 3300, but that could be incomplete based on this local news article:

https://www.kgns.tv/2020/10/14/early-voting-turnout-strongest-in-years/

Based on KGNS' numbers...

WEBB COUNTY (Laredo)
2016:   3,341    2.7%
2018:   4,137    3.2%
2020:   4,141    3.0%
