Vote dump from PA and MI.

In PA, Dems have a 300k to 56k ballot lead.

https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/PA.html

Lots of votes in from Philly.

What's most stark is the return rate. Dems have already returned 18%. Reps only 9%.

This is why I voted by mail this year.  I figured the lines would be horrendous.

Completely idiotic that there are such long lines.

3 minutes should be the max. vote time, not 6 hours !

And not even the poll books are working in GA, because they are provided by a Republican company ...

Yeah and they have tons more ballots requested too so you'd think it would be lower.

No.  I think this is good.  Get the votes in early so the lines aren't massive on Election Day.

Why because they using voter suppression? Voter suppression isn't something new in GA and people here will act accordingly. Now, look at what voter suppression got the NCGOP. They lost the state Supreme court and are endangered of the Democrats sweeping all row offices and losing their majorities in both chambers.

How is that voter suppression lol, we have three weeks of early voting.  Nobody forced you to go out in day 1.  So when Pittsburgh has long lines it’s turnout, but with GA it’s suppression. My family is helping with the polls in two counties this year, so I can provide updates on what’s going on.

2+ hour lines are absolutely voter suppression, and there is zero excuse for having multi-hour voting lines when literally every other democracy on Earth (hell, many other states!) don't have them.

We have early voting for the next three weeks, mail in voting, absentee ballots, ect.  Those people didn’t have to go wait in line on day ONE.

We only even have those thanks to Democratic efforts.  If it were up to Republicans, you would only be able to vote in one 8-hour window, and Republican counties would have 100 polling locations while Democratic counties would only have 1, if they had any at all.  And when you got to the window you'd have to show your birth certificate.

31% of all registered voters in WI's Dane Couty (Madison) have now voted.

Elsewhere in Wisconsin: In blue Milwaukee, 20%. In red WOW counties (Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington), 20%/21%/17%. In swing Kenosha, 17%

Dane is Joe's juggernaut. HRC netted 146k votes out of Dane in 2016, Evers netted nearly 151k in 2018. My best guess is Biden easily nets over 200k from Dane, potentially up to 220k. Easily wipes out Trump's 2016 margin (if all other counties voted the same, which they won't)

"Just wait two weeks for the lines to thin out" won't work when there's only 11 early voting sites in Cobb (so 1 site for every 48k active voters) and 9 in Gwinnett (1 for every 62,359 active voters).

For perspective on how ridiculous this is, British Columbia's upcoming provincial election has 341 early voting sites across a province of 3,485,858 voters which is 1 site for every 10,222 people.

This what annoys me so much about the right-wing in this country. It is this idea that if it does not happen to me personally it doesn't exist and everybody else experience is overblown. So to my blue avatars on here if you do not have to wait in 4+ hour-long lines if you never had your ballot rejected, or if you never had your polling location changed for an undisclosed reason then good for you. But do not use your sole personal experience as a means to discredit what is clear and credible evidence of voter suppression.

How likely is that to happen based on Dane's turnout history? I would assume Dane would be a place that has a consistently solid turnout rate relative to other areas of the state (and country).

I waited for 3 hours in July to vote for Trump in a primary against nobody.  Don’t throw me into your biased perceptions.

Then I expected better from you. Voting should not be hard in a democracy.

Does anyone know what turnout was in Dane and Milwaukee in 2016 as a reference point?  I'm assuming Dane was high and Milwaukee was lower.
