Ah, the grift from/appeal to out-of-state donors strategy.

McGrathSally just needs a few more $ to win tossup KYAZ-SEN! #RESPERSIST!

Sounds like a hail Mary move.   They're probably freaked out.

CNN did this for the FL debate in 2018 right? Though 2018 was entirely midterms, no presidential, so it was an easier move for content. They don't need that content now.

This just sounds like a desperate move and it's completely unshocking that these 3 are the ones who are asking for it.

I thought Martha McSally refuses to speak to liberal hacks.

They're obviously all favored to lose. Who wants to bet Gardner was the ringleader of this? He knows he's DOA.

This is absolute desperation on their part. Susan Collins in Maine and Joni Ernst in Iowa have also been challenging their opponents to more debates, and Trump challenged Biden to additional debates as well (a challenge which was rejected). Gardner and McSally are pretty much DOA at this point, and Tillis is an underdog (although his chances at winning reelection are still certainly evident). And all three of them have been running poor campaigns-although Gardner's opponent, Hickenlooper, hasn't been an impressive candidate either.

Why would you want more debates when have nothing to debate about? I don't even know what they are running on.

Sounds like you are the sort of voter who could benefit from hearing them speak...

Why when every single one of their answer is going to be "Well, my opponent supports (fill in the blank)". I want to know what they support and what they will do if they win. Not what they disagree with their opponent about.

This is a great idea if their goal is to raise tons of money for their Democratic opponents. Do they really think they'll get a favorable audience on CNN?
