Alright, nominating MB for Vice President. There should be no legal issues with this one. I am confident MB will do the job well and we should have a productive Congress.
Quote from: EO 49 #020
MB is appointed to the role of Vice President.

Don't recall seeing any feedback as to whether or not Sestak would be able to administer this, but in the interest of the expedition I discussed in my office, here we go.

Senators have up to 72 hours to question the nominee.

Hi.

First of all I'd like to thank Pericles for appointing me. Second of all, I'd like to say that I'm fully prepared to serve as Vice President. I was first elected to this position two years ago and back then I was pretty unfamiliar with it, so naturally I got worn out pretty quickly. But after 8 months in congress and then another 4 as Governor of the South, I definitely know how the legislative process works and I know how to efficiently serve in the role. I'd hope you take all this into consideration and vote to confirm me as your next Vice President.

One aspect of the last few VPs was the failure to make the last post in the notice board listing in full public view bills passed in each chamber and those passing both. It also displayed VP administered slots in both chambers. In my view the absence of this makes the job of the VP harder as well as keeping track of what has passed where. Can you commit to making this last notice board post as it is often termed?

I'll fully keep the noticeboard updated. When I was in congress this proved to be annoying when passed bills weren't posted so I will be sure to do that.

Come on people grill him.

You see no one takes the time to do a real sinister interrogation anymore, it's a lost art.

Ok time for "spicy" tough questions. You were already VP under Weatherboy, and we all know the Weatherboy administration was a bit of a mess.

What assurances would you give to anyone who fears this could be a replay of your time as VP under WB?

As you've been saying on discord, will you confirm that you'll resign as Governor of the South to take the position of VP?

I didn't know what the VP was even supposed to do when I first got the job in November 2018. I'd mostly just been a zombie legislator with little real experience in managing any sort of legislature or political party. But now I've got plenty of experience in party leadership and in legislatures as an active member to know how the job's done.

As you've been saying on discord, will you confirm that you'll resign as Governor of the South to take the position of VP?
I will resign as governor if I'm confirmed as VP.

We are happy with the nominee and have the votes to confirm him. As such there are very few questions to ask.

Then the Senators are expected to state such publicly, obviously.

There have been so many instances where no questions were asked in a confirmation hearing and then afterwards it went badly. The first one I saw was Keystone Phil for Attorney General, who after two months of inactivity, proceeded to try and cease the Presidency Al Haig style. I would hope at least some of those Senators regretted not asking questions.

As Speaker of the Southern Chamber and having the opportunity to work with MB, I endorse this nomination and urge my senators to confirm.

As long as the appointee will resign as a Governor, I will vote Aye on confirmation.

With time having expired on the motion with no objections having been entered, a final vote is now open on confirmation of MB as Vice President.
